Anyone know if Md is a right-to-carry CCW state (like my MI)? If my family lived there, I would at least want a level playing field.

In exactly what universe is someone with a handgun then on a "level playing field" with a concealed sniper 200 yards away who shoots someone else near you (or yourself)and then quickly flees?
One of the most exasperating things about FR is people making idiotic arguments or inventing facts to support what actually is a good argument..."Bad Soldiers in the Service of a Good King" I think it's called.
Every civilian with 10 miles of these shootings could have been carrying a concealed handgun and it wouldn't have made a damn bit of difference.

Maryland is an anti-gunners wet dream state. The ironic part is that Montgomery county is one of the two centers of anti-gun extremism in the state (the other being Baltimore). Politicians in Montgomery County try and outdo each other in restriction of gun owners. The sad part about it is the moronic bedwetting soccor moms who apparently make up a large portion of the population vote for these fascist idiots. License to carry available, but only if you are in with the local government. Kind of like New Jerk City where only the rich and famous get to defend themselves.

Maryland is NOT a right to carry state. They have some pretty draconian anti-gun laws.
