I like your version better ;-) Big deal, so the guy is an accomplished obstructionist. He knows some parliamentary tricks. What a guy. And he has used them for what?

To heck with UN resolutions. The UN has done nothing in 10m years except foster terrorism. Why are we even having to put pressure on the UN to do the right thing. Why is Russia and China and France supporting the likes of Saddam. Money? The UN is nothing but a debating bunch of Hookers. The only one they want to control is the USA.

Tenet is a clintonoid traitor.

He couldn't possibly be dumb enough to have said this without realizing its significance.

Bush's worst mistake has been to leave so many clintonoids in charge of the CIA, FBI, Pentagon, and other agencies. They constantly leak damaging stuff. The only thing surprising about this letter is that Tenet would put his name on it, instead of leaking it anonymously.

The senators are able to stage a filibuster after you invoke Cloture!

Erma and I are the proud great-grandparents of little Caroline Byrd Fatemi.

I married the former Erma Ora James, my high school sweetheart and a coal miner's daughter, and we are the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Mohammad (Mona Byrd) Fatemi and Mrs. Jon (Marjorie Byrd) Moore. We have been blessed with six grandchildren -- Erik, Darius, and Fredrik Fatemi; Michael (deceased), Mona, and Mary Anne Moore -- and three great-granddaughters, Caroline Byrd and Kathryn James Fatemi, and Emma James Clarkson.

Do you think this might be the reason ole Byrd-dog is a committee of one stopping a senate vote on the Iraq Resolution?

That is not correct. Cloture (requiring 60 votes)limits debate to thirty hours. Each Senator is limited to one hour. Thus, it is impossible for a filibuster to take place after Cloture.

Since Cloture cannot be voted on until two days have elapsed after it is first proposed, it can take a few days to actually get to a final vote.

Saddam Hussein's apparent policy of not resorting to terrorist attacks against the United States could change if he concludes a U.S.-led attack against him was inevitable,

Is that supposed to be a joke? I consider every terrorist attack on the US to have come from Saddam, starting with the first World Trade Center bombing.

Yes... thank you dear God... it is. And I pray byrbrain keeps it up. There will be NO war resolution if he "keeps faith with" his terrorista constituency, and the dems will have fully defiled themselves in the eyes of the populace for the entire election cycle, based on their now professed, anti american security and pro-terrorist stance.

All of this while a nation endures the recurring nightmares of two smoking towers in our nation's cheif city, and haunting dreams of thousands of vaporized and deformed Americans. They visit us all as spectres and grotesquely deformed ghosts in the middle of the night...

The democrats by and large, have now fully politicized the very security of the United States of America... WE will NOT forgive them.

Everybody NOW knows WHO empoweres al qaida terrorists.. the anti-american democrats. It is now being seen as the party of the terrorists. Thank you osami ben byrd...

Ultimately, they are destroying their own party, and it's a beautiful thing. They will only get more crazy and disgusting as their date with destiny approaches. I can feel their hatred of the flag, freedom and all that is decent and good about America... their true colors are seen by all.

We ain't seen nothing yet though... I expect martial law and city wide riots led by democrats of note in their terror of what november is now destined to bring them. The images of their being powerless... will drive them insane... and the dockworker's strike might eventually trigger action by the national guard, that is if radical dems have their way.
Through it all I see the every clearer image of their political demise... and so do they.

Absolutely priceless.

Tenet is a Clintonista, and long time DemonRat operative. From his official bio on the CIA website:

George John Tenet was sworn in as Director of Central Intelligence on 11 July 1997 following a unanimous vote by both the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the full Senate. In this position he heads the Intelligence Community (all foreign intelligence agencies of the United States) and directs the Central Intelligence Agency.

Mr. Tenet served as the Deputy Director of Central Intelligence, having been confirmed in that position in July 1995. Following the departure of John Deutch in December 1996, he served as Acting Director.

Prior to serving at the National Security Council, he served on President Clinton's national security transition team. In this capacity, he coordinated the evaluation of the US Intelligence Community. Mr. Tenet also served as Staff Director of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for over four years under the chairmanship of Senator David Boren. In this capacity he was responsible for coordinating all of the Committee's oversight and legislative activities including the strengthening of covert action reporting requirements, the creation of a statutory Inspector General at CIA, and the introduction of comprehensive legislation to reorganize US intelligence.

Prior to his appointment as Staff Director, Mr. Tenet directed the Committee's oversight of all arms control negotiations between the Soviet Union and the United States, culminating in the preparation of a report to the US Senate on ``The Ability of US Intelligence to Monitor the Intermediate Nuclear Force Treaty.'' Mr. Tenet came to the Committee in August of 1985, as designee to the Vice Chairman, Senator Patrick Leahy, after working three years on the staff of Senator John Heinz as both a legislative assistant covering national security and energy issues and as legislative director

He should have been replaced when "W" took office, not held over. If not then, surely on 9-12-01, he should have been shown the door, or handed a pistol with one round in it and told to "do the right thing".

Nearly 3000 Americans died, in part because of his incompetence and that of the agency he oversees. An honorable and honest man would have felt guilty over such failures to perfrom. Of course 'Rats like Tenet don't feel any guilt, after all "if it feels good, do it" is the motto of their ilk. Tenet, the director of the FBI and the person under him responsible for domestic counter intelligence should have resinged on 9-12-01, or been fired.

Well, Byrd-turd obviously wants something. More highway funds maybe.

Nah, something different. Maybe the first ever Senatorial Library and Museum at the Univeristy of West Virgina, complete with his old sheet and hood and a gas fed burning cross.

George Tenet is Neville Chamberlain in a pink lace tutu--can his chicken ass ASAP.

Grand Wizard Byrd should be drug out of Washington behind an oil-spraying pavement truck flanked by floats of cherubs sprinkling him with feathers.

Nelly queens and klansmen to the contrary notwithstanding, let's roll.

There's plenty of time later to play Taps for the Demoslamic Party after getting Saddam's head into a jar.
