And you and your wannabes have no votes...... it does take the votes to get into position to govern.....

You write a long screed again with a lot of what if's, wouldyas, willyas, if'nonlies, so why don't you take the time to display a list of those candidates that you are so positive will save us from this malady you see. Don't go half way, go the entire mile and finish what you started or else people will have to guess which is the candidate that will lead.

The worst Republican is better than the best democrat.

That is the kind of statement that makes people run away from Republicans apace.

It means David Duke is better than any Democrat.

It's clear that you don't live in Illinois under George Ryan.

Sorry, but my vote is NOT for sale. I will vote straight Republican without hesitation. Oh, and not blindly, I might add. To me, this is a total no-brainer - especially after what I have seen of the Democrats in the past month. It has only solidified my stance.

Will you be pleased if your vote helps elect Jean [sic] Shaheen?

I think he's from Texas, not the Granite State.

B.A., a wag once observed that the DemocRATS want national socialism today at midnight. The Pubbies are content to wait a few days.

Bush is spending money and toying with the Constitution in ways about which the klintoons could only DREAM (wet, to be sure).

The two parties continue to flourish on the simple (and cynical) idea that their serious members, i.e. those that expect a political party to adhere to a certain set of ideological priciples, have no other place to go. In no other country would Jesse Helms and ____________ (fill in the name of any RINO) or Jesse Jackson and, say, Sam Nunn be in the same political party. Your frustration has been the subject of innumerable threads here. Solution? Subvert, eliminate the two party system. And yet, we seem to just luv our two party system and it doesn't take much to provoke a major league dissing of some country with a multi party system.

If only those RINOS could be reined, we seem to say. But they won't, it's a "big tent" remember? And you have no other place to go, so there, vote Republican and don't waste your vote on some big earred freak, right?

So who will you be voting for if not Republicans? Or will you be voting at all?

"And the average American will gladly give up his freedom in order to get a free payday"

Sadly true. Alexander Tyler wrote, "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result being that democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship." He was writing about the fall of the Athenian Republic, but it sure sounds like the U.S. today.

"Come Nov those constitutionlists will not turn out"

Then they get the DEMONcrats they deserve, and they should shut their mouths and not complain about them.

So the Democrats have convinced you to vote against them. And this means that you need use no brains to vote straight Republican in order to do so. Prehaps you should find something or someone to stand up for rather than something to stand against. It may require brains, but it will make for a better decision. Prehaps then you can seperate yourself from those with no brains. This is what B.A. Conservative has done. He thought a great deal to find something to stand up for and he will be voting to uphold it. What, exactly, is wrong with being unwilling to accept the death of freedom without a fight?

"...they should shut their mouths and not complain about them."

Or do an Alec Baldwin ...
"I will simply leave and find another country..."( B. A. Conservative).

Hopefully, B.A. Conservative will carry through with his promise, unlike Alec.

Democrats paved the road to socialism in 1936. That road goes off a cliff somewhere between 2012 and 2016.

Tsk, tsk! Such a pessimist you are.

The solution is simple... just as the baby boomers are about to retire, we pass a brand new prescription drug entitlement. Current bidding for the votes of the New Seniors ranges from $320 billion (Republican) to $1 trillion (Democrat) over the next ten years. Then it gets worse.

Whatever the final tag, no entitlement stays within budget, so the minimum will likely be at least twice the GOP's Pharmaceutical Ponzi scheme.

But there's hope... just say "Take back the Senate!™" three times and click your heels together.

It's a beautiful dream...

"What, exactly, is wrong with being unwilling to accept the death of freedom without a fight? "

Except that B.A. Conservative is going to run, not fight ..."I will simply leave and find another country."

If B.A. Conservative and his ilk truly believe that it is as bad as they believe it is, then they should either continue to struggle within the system to elect (..and note that I say "elect" ... that leaves the Libertarian Party out of the picture), carry out the above-mentioned promise, or take up arms and fight for their lost rights.

In the end, I would be willing to bet money that he (and the rest of the no-compromise conservatives) does none of the above ... but simply remains here and continues to complain. If he asks nicely, I'm sure that someone will give him some cheese to have with his whine.
