I-270 traffic gets pretty crazy at rush hour, still no excuse for road roage.

It's bad enough that shooting on the road is attempted murder of whoever the target is. But it also risks causing an accident that can take many more lives.

The shooting of the woman in Fredericksburg, VA was first reported on FR in just this way ...... before the news media had the story. Once something like this is posted then the story can be developed or discounted as the situation merits .... and details added ..... but often FReepers are in a position to see or hear news before there is a media source to link to.

I remember during the Cincy riots, someone posted a link to a local police scanner on the Web. If there are VA/MD/DC web links to police scanners, that would be helpful to those of us in flyover country.

A rumor is something you don't know to be true. A false rumor would be something you know is a lie. I don't think you are trying to say Battlecry was lying. This was clearly an attempt to offer us some breaking news just as quickly as possible. It came from his wife. I think he reason to trust her. Wouldn't you trust yours?
