Duncan is my Congressman here in Knoxville. I am very unhappy with this vote. He's usually reliable, and is very conservative.

Glad to see that Bob Ehrlich took time out from his gubernatorial race against "Idiot" Townsend to vote. I figured that he would.

Margie RINO Roukema is history, Thank God! She is serving her last days. Let us hope that the Administration doesn't appoint her to anything!

We should not be eager to go to war against any country, and especially against one that has not attacked us or even threatened to attack us.

How ridiculous. Can this congress-kook name one other country in the world that routinely fires on our pilots. We've lucked out so far that none of our pilots have been shot down and killed. Simply put, it is a flat out lie to say that Hussein hasn't attacked us. Everytime he has his people shooting at our pilots that is an attack and, what's more, an act of war.

Ron Paul - libertarian, doesnt want Govt doing anything; mostly votes well for Freedom-lovers since this means low taxes low spending and anti-regulation,but on this case he is showing his isolationist stripes. he has criticized the nationbuilding in Afghanistan.

2,3,4 Houghton, Leach and Morella: All RINOs. And if they voted in favor of Clintons anti-saddam military action, might as well be Ds.

"...because Saudi Arabia had much more to do with those events than Iraq did, and we still consider Saudi Arabia to be one of our allies. "

I'd also like to know why Iraq but not Saudi Arabia.

Ron Paul is a charmingly eccentric old man who keeps losing money for his district - how long are the folks in Lake Jackson gonna put up with the fact that "their guy" is losing them serious road money? He represents folks on the TX Gulf Coast like Barbra Streisand does.Hello? Is anybody AWAKE in Freeport? Why do they keep electing this freak? No wonder Surfside looks so horrible.

Where can I find the entire House roll call on this? My congressman is democrat Bill Lipinski and I'm sure he would support President Bush on this one.

I can think of several examples of countries that haven't attacked us first and we've gone to war with, including Germany, Panama, Grenada, Bosnia, Iraq (which, technically we are still on a cease fire with, which they've violated), Somalia, etc, etc.

I think Duncan is being short sighted here. Nobody wants war, but this makes me think of Churchill:

"Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves."
--Winston Churchill

I think we are at phase two.

I don't typcially vote for who can bring home the bacon. IMO, that is why the governmnet is so bloated already, why should my guy help?

Not saying this guy should be supported or not because I don't know who he is, but "losing money for his district" sounds strange to my philosophy.

I have a second home in Ron Paul's district. I don't vote there, but I might just switch my registration. His antics are getting old.

Lets see how it works out.My theory on some of the opposition is that those on the Saudi payroll are worried they WILL be next, one way or the other.
