ANNOUNCEMENT: D.C. Chapter Schedule for the Last Two Weeks of October 2002
D.C. Chapter ^ | Saturday, October 12, 2002 | Kristinn

Posted on 10/12/2002 4:36:17 PM PDT by kristinn

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us at the following demonstrations:

Tuesday, October 15 from 7 p.m. until at least 8:30 p.m. - The D.C. premier of leftist Michael Moore's film, Bowling for Columbine, which is a benefit for the gun-grabbing Brady Campaign. This will be held at the Cineplex Odeon Cinema, 5100 Wisconsin Avenue, NW.

Our demonstration will be pro-Second Amendment.

Wednesday, October 16 from 5 p.m. until at least 7:30 p.m. - A Democrat fundraiser for Maryland Lt. Governor Kathleen Townsend's gubernatorial campaign featuring Senator Hillary Clinton at the Bethesda Marriott, 5151 Pooks Hill Rd., Bethesda, Maryland.

Saturday, October 26 - The Patriots Rally for America II. As part Operation Infinite FReep, the D.C. Chapter is hosting a support our troops, pro-America and anti-Saddam Hussein rally to counter the anti-American protest being held the same day in D.C. by International ANSWER

The Patriots Rally will be held on the grounds of the Washington Monument at the quadrant bounded by 17th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW. from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

A formal announcement about the rally will be made soon.

Wednesday, October 30 from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. - Hillary Clinton will be hosting a fundraiser for profligate letter writer and Democrat candidate for Governor of New York, Carl McCall, at her Embassy Row mansion.

We will gather at our usual corner at Whitehaven Street and Massachusetts Avenue, NW. The Halloween-time theme will be, "Welcome to Hill House" and "The Hillary Witch Project."

BOO!

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no threats, no provocations, do not block the sidewalk or traffic, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

Wow!! Kudos to the Guardian Angels.

I agree w/ lizma. I tried reasoning w/ the ex about this. I was supposed to pick up my kids Friday evening. She would not let them out of the house (no matter the sniper's mo. no matter the odds of being shot are somewhat less than that of being struck by an asteroid.

Lizma is exactly correct when she says that the sheeple are running on emotion and not thinking.

I have counters though. In the People's Republic of Maryland, it is illegal for us to buy body armor. Thanks to Parris the 1st and KKT. In the People's Republic, the perp would not be executed by the state because of the moratorium put in place by Parris the First and KKT.

Sure makes sense when KKT tries to politicize this series of events. I say we hang them around her neck like an albatross.

Some pointed signs will be present at the Bethesda event, you can count on it. 'Pod

'Pod, I may be wrong but I think that it's illegal to wear body armor in the commission of a crime. IIRC, there was such a big stink in Annapolis about this stinky legislation, that the control-freaks worded it that way to appease us peasants.

But don't forget... that driving without a seatbelt is a crime...

Marylanders see item #2 on the list of events. FReep Kathleen Kennedy Townsend... anybody in for this?

Also FReep of Michael Moore's anti-gun movie in Chevy Chase DC may be of interest to you pro-gunners out there...

Ye of little faith!! I watched a show last night on channel 9 with Gordon Peterson and Jack Germond surprised me by saying that what she was doing is underhanded. Do you really think that suggesting that guns should be banned is going to bring out the voters for her? Gun banning would not stop this sicko. I don't think so!!!

I intend to be there. I think that morning I will wake up with the flu.... that seems to be the only way to get out of never-ending work commitments.... this one's definitely worth it.

I have plenty of Erhlich signs available as well.

Ye of little faith!!

LOL. Actually I've been praying quite a bit lately!

I'm really active in my kid's elementary school. I talk to so many mom's that are just absolutely terrified. They talk about moving in with their parents who live in another state, not leaving the house except to take their kids to and from school. I've even seen them walking in a zig-zag pattern from the parking lot to the school! I'm absolutely amazed at the level of fear in so many people. I've watched women who I thought had common sense turn into weenies! Alot of them.

Of course I hope I'm wrong and common sense will prevail. I just remember what they did to Sauerbrey. 3 days before the election ran an ad calling her a racist. I worked as an election judge that year in a mainly black district in PG, the voters were all talking about it. Enraged that a racist would run for governor, not stopping to even to look at the real reason she voted against the bill.

Elections out here are won on emotions, not thought. I'll work to see if I can't get these soccer moms to buck up and use a few grey cells.

I haven't seen any KKT ads. What is she saying?

Hi, girlfriend. Two things:

Am I allowed to bring my bull horn to tomorrow's freep in Bethesda?

Please give me some ideas for two posters I plan to make. I am drawing a blank. ("I hate the bitch Hillary" comes to mind, but doesn't seem to quite get it.) Your posters are always so clever.
