CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

I agree with your assessment, as far as it goes. But I have always known anxiety as an American. I grew up during the cold war. I was a school child when we had those drills where you crawled underneath your desk as if a nuclear bomb had been detonated nearby.

I remember those ridiculous 55 gallon drums people were selling as fallout shelters. Yes, I know, they were bigger than that, but that's what it seemed.

I remember Kennedy being shot and, being a child, didn't understand politics. I just knew that something really bad had happened.

I remember the Cuban missle crisis, and everybody suddenly getting religious and going to church.

I remember watching the evening news every night and seeing the carnage from the Vietnam war.

The list goes on, but you get the point.

At some point, we have gotten calloused to all of this. Calloused, that is, until something strikes close to home.

Years ago, I got tired of it all and sold my television and cancelled my newspaper subscriptions. I still don't have tv, nor do I read newspapers, but my job requires a computer. My education requires the internet, which, again keeps me up-to-date on worldwide terror.

All in all, I think I felt better not knowing what was going on.

I have heard rumors that a National Recon Sattelite has been placed over the sniper area. Anyone heard anything of this information?

My theory sniper path for tomorrow:

Michael's craft stores in area.
3089A Nutley Street, Pam Am Shopping Center
Fairfax, VA 22031

The top one is most probable in my theory.

Michael's
311 Maple Ave East
Vienna, VA 22180

Probable

Michael's 13061 Fair Lakes Shopping Center

Also, Probable.

After he hits a Michael's or gas station in the area he may move South again to the Richmond Beltway(maybe a little north of that) area followed by another North dot shooting. Dots may be close together or spread pretty far apart so who knows. Could be Prince William County seeing as his middle dots tend to drift south but not more south than any South dots. For anyone not up to speed yet. 123,456,789, 10 1112- middle dot , south dot, north dot opposite south dot with 1st shooting being the middle dot. The 1st 2nd and 3rd shootings are the only ones that go middle, east, west. 7 8 and 9 could possibly not be a middle, south, north but this is the best I have compared to all media saying NO PATTERN!

Just my thoughts. I don't think he'll hit all these stores tomorrow. Just one Michael's tomorrow, probably caused by the media as well. He probably sees people associating him with this so why not feed on that wrong premonition.

Also, I hope everyones posts of different theories on FR are able to keep everyone elses minds open to the possibilties. That is how an investigation usually gets solved.

Yikes. I had been wondering about that lately, about how often is there real peace on earth, and how much of human history have been times of war. We haven't had a major war in over half a century now, and the population is larger than ever. It makes me think one is due, which is scary, but it seems to be a natural cycle of sorts.

Has anyone seen the ABC late night news with the stories of the victims? How sad....it seems like he went out of his way to kill very good people. The first victim was in his early 50's and had an 11 year old son. Was picking up food for his church. The 72 year old man who was shot on the street, was caring for a very sick wife...imagine how she must feel now....The man mowing a lawn? Oh, it wasn't even his, he was mowing it for an older business client of his I believe....then there was the Woman from El Salvador with a 7 year old son, her husband didn't want to come to the U.S., but she knew it would be the best place to raise their son....the younger women was a nanny, with a young child of her own...I forget the other details for the other victims, but suffice to say, very decent people(I do recall the cabbie who was trying to get gas when he was killed, had just past his wife on the way to work, and waved to her)
I am not feeling very Christian tonight, I hope he dies slowly and painfully........they will probably rerun this story 10 before the hour.....

Man is born wicked. The Bible gives us the history of man's disobedience to God which caused his fall. The arrival of Jesus Christ provided man a path to salvation through faith in Him.

This is the most common mistake in world view. Is man basically good or bad? Those who believe man is basically good are usually the most shocked by the unprovoked evil of others.

If you watch the behavior of a baby growing as a child, you can see the inherent selfishness. The child must be taught good behavior.

WHY CANNOT THEY GET THIS GUY? I STILL THINK IT'S MORE THAN ONE PERSON.

The reason why they can't get this guy (or persons) is because the FBI is involved. They do not know how to deal with serial killer/snipers. We need to get in the the BIG GUNS!! We need Big City cops who have worked on serial murder/sniper cases. These people have years of experience and know how these psychos work. They need to get someone from the big areas - New York, Los Angeles, Dallas., etc. FBI do have the experience. Not saying the FBI are stupid but what they do is bully the local law inforcement and take over and then the local guys have no control. That's not good!

It's a nice idea to presuppose that man is inherently good. In fact, I'm convinced most liberals believe that. Hence, they also beleive that utopia is possible. Beyond that, it's easier to believe that man does not need a solution to his sin problem, eh?

I just have this feeling that these people (and I am believing right now it is two people) are trying to make this seem like Al-Qaeda or some other group is doing this. I believe it is homegrown - in that the people are American but with some agenda to make terrorists seem responsible in order to throw us into a terrorist panic. They can hide behind the terrorist face as much as they want because we are so paranoid about terrorists now. They probably figure if we stop what we are doing and focus on middle eastern men terrorists they can hide behind that. I think it is just two or more home grown nutjobs enjoying the terrorist aspect of it. They know that we are so scared after Sept. 11th that everytime we see an explosion or in this case hear about a serial killer/sniper we think automatically it's terrorists whereas years ago we would just chock this up to home grown serial nutjobs. Just a thought but we are creating the terrorist scenario in our own minds because there really isn't any proof that it is terrorists. We seem to WANT it to be terrorism because we seem to have shoved serial killers as a thing of the past and the only thing we have to worrry about is terrorism right now. But again, this is just my humble opinion.

I just don't think it is terrorists or has anything to do with Islamic religion. I think these guys are just quick killings to get their thrills. They probably go back to their home (HIGH FIVE EACH OTHER) and celebrate with a Bud!! You notice the cops don't say anything about terrorism because they know from past crimes in our country that these so called sniper/serial killers DO exist and always have. They have their own reasons for this and we will find out when they are caught. They are saying right now the Blue Sadan had a religious sticker on the bumper. Probably some cult or maybe some crazy religious cult. Relgious symbol was not Islamic otherwise they would have said so. Probably some new sick religion.

Did we have think about some devil worshipers? There are a hell of alot of them out there who are homegrown (like Son of Sam). Devil worshipers kill anytime and also have no qualms about killing people. I believe it is a cult of some sort.

But here's the thing: they're born as American citizens which affords them rights and protections, not given to foreigners.....these protections are being used towards their favor, and they know this: none have been tried as "traitors" because the liberals, who hate this country, believe we deserve 9/11, and anything else done to innocent Americans.
