God speed Mr. Edgerton

H.K Edgerton bump! Both the NAACLP and the Ku Klux Klan are hopping mad and lying down in the same bed for once - how dare a black man celebrate the South??? No doubt Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will shortly denounce him as a tool of the Southern redneck conspiracy.

Thanks for the post.
Pretty poor article, but at least they spelled his name right.

Edgerton said that instead of white people giving reparations to black people for slavery, the North should pay reparations to the South for what he calls the Norths war crimes. I'm sorry but Mr. Edgerton just lost me on this one. I respected him for trying to uphold what he sees as his heritage, but when his heritage includes trying to pick my pocket for bullsh*t reparations then he's no different than Robinson and the boobs from N'Cobra.

Harry Belafonte can't be happy about this.

Hurrah for Mr. Edgerton! I wish he was marching down 'Ol Dixie Highway.
Thanks for the bump - nice work on the website, Shuck. Keep it up!
To: Captain Shady
Are there plans for local FR Chapters to join Edgerton as he marches through their towns?

Wonder if Dan Rather could cover this at the end of his newscast? Wait a minute, it's about truth and setting the historical record right. He'll probably get Morris Dees to speak out against it
Godspeed Mr. Edgerton, this is one Southerner that thanks you and is dang proud of what you're doing

So when did reparations creep into his equation, billbears?
To: Non-Sequitur
I would hope Mr Edgerton was being somewhat sarcastic considering the argument coming from the far left. Personally I don't expect reparations, even though yankees did tear through our nation without respect for women, children, or property.

I would hope Mr Edgerton was being somewhat sarcastic considering the argument coming from the far left. I suppose that there is a chance that he was misquoted. I'm sure that there will be many future posts on this trek and we'll see what he says as time goes by. But I'm still wondering if he's being serious.

Bump for a brave Southerner!

I'm Confederate renactor and I'd be proud to march beside Mr Edgerton. He knows what the Civil War was really all about. Bravo HK and safe journey. Somewhere up in heaven Jeff Davis and Bobby Lee are smiling.
To: Captain Shady
....I wish him all the best in his march.....it's not without danger....he was badly beaten a couple of months ago by a group of black punks....
Good luck to everybody!
