Wasn't it SMOKIN JOE FRASIER that scrambled Casius' brains back in the 70's? Joe lost the fight but landad a good one to his jaw so Ali became "babbi" in the head after that.

He's not a Muslim, he is (or at least was when this interview happened) a member of the Nation of Islam. They call themselves Muslims, but NOI is not considered Islamic by the majority of Muslims. That's why Malcolm X broke with them after he converted to orthodox Islam, shortly before the NOI killed him.

I believe Ali was a "Nation of Islam" muslim. Various books I read detailed how this organization ran their nationwide operation under threats of violence from the "Fruit of Islam" (FOI)which was their enforcment squad.Anyone who violated church rules or spoke out against them risked bodily harm or death.A very violent element permeated the NOI(black muslims).

That's correct. The NOI is part UFO cult. Something about "motherships" and whatnot. I haven't done a great deal of research in the subject though.

I think they believe an African mad scientist created the white race, or something equally bizzare. The UFO thing wouldn't suprise me. Their whole belief system is pretty messed up, and their slick PR or famous members can't change that.

Anyway, critisizing Muslims for what the NOI believes is like critisizing Christianity for what the Moonies believe.
