What? Holy cow! I hadn't heard this. No wonder it sounds so strange in English. Someone translated it that way. I've been following this as well as most around here, but not once have I heard this on tv. I admit I'm not reading the WashPost articles though. Guess I should be.

A translation of your German into English would have still used the word Allah. Isn't the German for God "Gott"?
