i did see that, thanks, Quilla, and didn't quite know what to make of it. now that is pretty brazen to have the gun barrel poking out, isn't it? i know where the bike path is, let me ask angkor what he thinks about the shooter hightailing it from the school parking lot to the bikepath.

All I know is that I was eating lunch in the courthouse with a bunch of criminal defense attorneys, and they all knew the name of the cop who told my friend the story.

Maybe its's total BS, but it sounded like the truth - that the husband was looking right at the man when his wife was shot. How can this be a mistake?

Well, this note/call thing looks like the "motive" for the killings as it appears to be "threatening" according to one report which is what likely led to the school closings.

Thanks for the link. And in the article a college spokesperson said they are following the advice of LEO's in closing their schools. So it isn't just concerned parents that have forced this decision.

Time magazine Person on FOX has heard that there has been more then 1 Tarot card found at scenes.

A client of mine called me at home last night to tell me that the FBI came to his house and asked him what kind of car he drives, and whether he's been in Montgomery County recently, and so forth.

I am handling a whistleblower case for him and we are certain that the tip came from someone he works with.

Maybe its's total BS, but it sounded like the truth - that the husband was looking right at the man when his wife was shot. How can this be a mistake?

so do he say this was inside info that was not being released to the media? because it certainly would be a huge deal if Linda Franklin's husband got a good look at the shooter.

Maybe I should clarify that he doesn't have a white van, he doesn't own a gun, and he hasn't been in Montgomery County in years.

In other words, whoever phoned in the tip did it out of pure malice.

Good post, Lion's Club. There's no way the feds were simply going to Gitmo to see what detainees know - they were going to show videotape/composite pics and perhaps handwriting on messages.

I saw one story which said that LE was under the impression that the information about the spy planes being employed would not be released, which makes sense, and then the DOD released it to the press.

The only rational that I can come up with which would explain why they would do that might be they were concerned that if the information got leaked to the press, that the liberals and the tin foil hat people would be screaming Posse Comitatus from the rooftops, so maybe it would be better to get that information out so as not to have to deal with a conspiracy afoot theory.

That would be somewhat of a political decision.

They not only closed some colleges but a spokesperson said it was on advice of LEO's.

The phone number wasn't for the police to call him, it was a third party number (probably a pay phone) that the shooter knows would be "confiscated" by the police.

This could also be a Pre paid cell phone, left at the scene. You do not necessarily have to give out any personal information when purchasing one.

That was my thought. He could have just been goofing with the police because of his arrest record, but I wonder who his prison contacts were.

It's hard to say..but I'm inclined to think the writing on the Tarot Cards should be released but not the DESIGN of the card, i.e., the design should be obliterated.

They must have the feeling that it is not someone from here and no one would recognize it. For all we know, this "note" is the same odd paper used by the Anthrax terrorist.
