There are many reports at TheFiringLine.com by credible long-time members of Maryland gunonwners who have .223 rifle being coerced by federal agents into 'voluntarily' turning over their guns for ballistic testing. (please see this thread) Threats of search warrant service by an armed federal entry team have been made to force gunonwers to turn over their rifles. This important story has not appeared in the press at all. It needs to be reported to prevent a repetition of this outrage.
If you have personally suffered this kind of treatment, please email the Sierra Times at news@sierratimes.com. If you know someone that personally experienced this, please give them this email addy and encourage them to send the email. The Sierra Times needs first-hand accounts to get the details and verify the authenticity of this story.

Help get the word out. Let's not let this one slip through the cracks. The feds need to be held to account for their actions, and WE'RE the only ones who can see to that. Thanks!

"How can we get official confirmation? I'm not sure what you mean. It's Sierra Times that needs first-hand accounts from several people who were abused by the feds to confirm what happened before they report it.

Thanks for the heads-up! Most of my weapons are hidden so well, I can't even remember what I did with them. When I ordered the book from you and had you send it to my son, I gave him my M1991A1, .45 ACP that same weekend. [No use in having him wait until I am dead, I may live forever!]

Happening in Virgina, too. I called one of my sisters to see how she was doing with the sniper in the Northern Virginia area, and she volunteered that one of her friends was contacted by the FBI, since he owned a white van. They asked if he had any guns, and he volunteered that he owned an AR-15 type rifle. They were very interested and wanted to take it away for ballistic testing. He agreed and got back the rifle today.
Just imagine the real sniper.
FBI: Hello, sir. We note that you own a white van. Could you please answer some questions about your whereabouts in the past few weeks?
Sniper: Surely, special agent. Anything else?
FBI: Do you own any guns?
Sniper: Not at all.
FBI: Thanks for your time...

What I'm really interested in here is people who said "NO!" to the feebs, and were then threatened by them to gain 'cooperation'.

Forget for a moment that some gun owners may have their constitutional rights compromised.
Let's say that LEO's go to the snipers house, ask to see his rifle, and match it up to the victims.
Guess what, the evidence and any thing else resulting from the search is inadmissible in court.
Sniper boy walks.

Your point? Please elaborate.

Makes one wonder if the Feds themselves are responsible for the shootings. Tin hat is on!

Time to hit the law books again. Here's your "West Key Word" to start your search with -- "Consent".

They threatening to do a no knock, ram the door down, grind the family's faces into the floor search if the answer is "bring the search warrant, and only then I will let you examine my gun"? While that sounds excessive, I don't know if any court would touch a challenge to that with a ten foot pole in these circumstances. Mere white van ownership is being viewed as "probable cause" for a search and seizure in this panic (even though the chances that the sniper will be found in any particular such van are very IMprobable).
