What about those of us that grew up watching Leave it to Beaver, Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, My Three Sons, Andy Griffith etc... Those were solid, values oriented shows.

Only if he's very lucky. Most men raised in an environment like this seek out female abusers as partners. They're utterly unable to deal with women as equals (women are always right) and buy into the idiotic myths that all men are abusers, alcoholics, rapists, violent, etc. (as women are always right). The sick women who foster this view, the men-haters, are like any other person who can't take responsibility for themselves and buys the victim mentality wholesale.

Though I wouldn't mind getting married, I've found it to be the easiest way for golddiggers to make a living. If I wanted to pay someone's way through life, I'd start a business or fund some one in need who's deserving.
