Pod, for what it's worth, this shows the need for a central org to play point and help direct resources to the chapters. We weren't involved but CSPAN assumed it because we've had communications with them (plus, we're an established corporation and non profit with a visiable structure that files 990's, etc). This will happen time and time again and the only thing we will generate is solidarity or confusion to those on the outside, depending on the road we decide to take. A fragmented FR will only dilute our recources.

The only ones who would give them any face time would be FNC, who should have been covering this wonderful rally.

This is great....live thread, people who were actually there, reviewing the taped rally...wow!

There are those of us who, if locked in a round padded room, naked, with two steel ball bearings, would lose one and break the other.Hey, I resemble that remark! There's always something missing around here...
To: abner; Dave Dilegge
They were demonstrating across the street and Dave Dilegge invited them to join us.

I just wish the "mainstream" media had taken a harder look - these speeches need to be on all six networks. Roger that. (Thinking out loud - does anybody know what C-SPAN's Neilsen numbers look like?)

" these speeches need to be on all six networks." Yes, you're right. But it won't happen. These voices are ones that have more to say than Americans who know nothing of what it is to live directly under that kind of tyranny. They should be heard!
To: Ligeia; Dave Dilegge
Great move Dave.

"Clean up in aisle 157" LOL!

Hmmmmm.....could these Iraqis calling for Saddam's death be the reason why this was pushed back so late?
To: kristinn
I hate to see Notra's speech interrupted, but man, do these guys really spice up the broadcast. This is something you don't see everyday!
WoW this is powerful.

The only ones who would give them any face time would be FNC, who should have been covering this wonderful rally. Well, FNC still has a chance to make up for it and get this man booked on there show ASAP!!!

These are good people, from what I saw today. Like I said when I introduced them after they arrived, Iraqis like them were publicly demonstrating against Saddam several years ago at the White House.

Wait, it gets better. These people were so enthusiastic for FreeRepublic and the feeling was mutual.
It took me awhile, I'll admit. I thought something shaky was up. But, these people are on the same side we are.
