If I may, one reason so many more peaceniks are at the protests is because they are well organized, very well funded and some are actually paid. It is kind of like how the democrats get out the vote. They go to old folks homes, bars, homeless shelters and offer perks and rides to the polling place. That is pretty much what goes on here. The unions are into this, and they tell their members to go, every leftist org. is involved. Their websites read like the who's who of the Socialist world.

They bus people in, hand them the signs, which they collect after the event, and have pages of suggestions for behavior, chants, and etc. This is a big deal in other words. Please don't overlook the fact that as I stated, they PAY people to do this! FreeRepubic goes out there on an individual basis, because each freeper has a genuine love for the country and the troops. There is no way we can top them in numbers in any given forum when you consider the deceitful practices they employ to get their numbers high.

Sauropod, waas it you that had the copy of the flyer from the lefties Saturday, that spelled out they would PAY people to show up for their next commie rally?

Race, great porta potty poohbah, it was sauropod that had that mini-flyer.

However, it didn't say it would pay them, it said that it would pay for their transportation (implying bus travel).

Like leadpenny or someone said, "I'd sure like to know who funds these leftist excursions."

"I'd sure like to know who funds these leftist excursions."

I heard on the News yesterday that Harvard receives OVER a HalfBillionDollars ANNUALLY from the Federal Leviathan for "Research Grants"...LOL!! How 'bout the Feds give me a tax cut instead and let these eggheads fund their own anti-American Protests?!!

I feel like beatin' the krap outta a Lib'ral just about now...MUD

"...like roller derby or something."

LOL...I left that part out. Okay, here's the FReeped up version...

At that point, Ms. Takoma--clad in nothing but a provocative RollerDerbyQueenEnsemble--came flying off the upper turnbuckle and laid out the LeftyChick with a Monster Supplex/AmericanFlagGrab and had the LeftyTwit in a headlock while she bashed the LeftyChick's bleedin' noggin' repeatedly against the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field!!...and the CaliforniaDreamin'Dude sorta pushed/punched the usually-gentle Ms. Takoma at which point I sorta laid into him...LOL!! Then the cops came and arrested him, high-fived me, and kristinn exhorted to his weary troops, "WE ARE RIGHT!! and the Lefties are WRONG!!"

At that point, some pro-AmericanMullah accidently crowned me with a 2x4 and it gets a tad hazy......

At least that's how I recall it...MUD

Congratulations on ANOTHER successful show of the D.C.'s commitment to American values. Sorry I didn't see the broadcast, but apparently you've found your voice. And although I believe we are in a cultural war with the Islamofacists, giving those particular Muslims national air time (other than WH photo-ops) was a good move. Their position on Israel notwithstanding, it showed their ARE patriotic American-Muslims. BTW, did Kevin get a chance to speak?

Again, WELL DONE Ladies and Gentlemen! BTW, VetsCoR.org/FitAimAct.org/S.A.F.E.org had planned to hold a pro-American defense rally at the Veterans Day celebration in Branson, MO this year. Due to lack of funding it has been cancelled. If we pull it together next year, I will suggest to the BOD's to invite you to speak. We may yet conduct such an event in the Spring and will keep you DC folks updated, if interested. Thanks again for your continueing support of our Country.

There is the need for both.

For example ... if I had to wait for an organizational procedure before going to Klamath ... I wouldn't have been involved when I was and could not have communicated the essence and explosive nature of what was going on to places like FreeRepublic and SierraTimes on my own. My guess is, that due to the extreme risk at the time and the fact that our "civil disobedience" was in fact not legal and that it was very probable that the government was going to respond with many armed agents (which they did) ... an organization probably would not have embraced the activity at that stage.

However, after the fact, when the danger as averted ... organizations did get involved and helped immensly ... it just took too long IMHO. But, with the long term (10+ weeks) protest at the headgates, with the relief convoys and with events since ... organizations have provided a lot of resource and exposure that individuals acting alone would not have been able to muster.

So .. in that event and with others ... organizations with the correct charter and leadership can help take the intitial efforts of concerned citizens and turn them into large "movements". I believe the organization, program management and leadership of the various organizations should pick up on this and formalize it. FR is a natural place for it. So many individuals are out there getting involved and then posting/reporting on it. If the "organized" part, be it the Network or individual chapters can pick up on and choose the kermnal events quickly and carefully enough ... and then react and organize quickly enough ... huge strides can be made.

Just my two cents ... more like two bits.

BTW, congratulations to the DC Chapter on another GREAT event. I only wish I could have been there with you standing in the breech.

For those who talk som much about and appear so impressed with pure numbers ... as we all know ... it doesn't take a HUGE crowd to accomplish things. Look what 56 men and their supporters did with the Declaration and the beginning of this nation. By all accounts, between the Torries and those who didn't want to be involved, the Patriots were a distinct minority. But they stood for the right ... they dedicated themselves, their means and their honor ... they perservered ... and the Hand of Providence was with them. After a long struggle, that cost many of them everything, they emerged victorious.

... it is no different today.

I'm not the least bit against organization and I respect the heck outta what Bob J's got going with the Network...but too much structure would kill the Golden Goose, IMHO.

One aspect where organization could prove quite helpful would be with respect to poll-watchers in RAT-dominated voting locations next Tuesday...not to hassle, not to provoke, just to watch for anything suspicious and cheerfully meet and greet some typical RAT Voters.
