[history]
On October 14th of 2000, as a new member of FreeRepublic, I read about disgraceful diplomatic handling of the attack on the USS Cole by the moribund Clinton administration. I am a former Naval Officer and was angered, again, by x42(i)'s non-support for the military. I wrote a long rant. After reading it, I backed it out and wrote the Broken Glass Republican Thread. This was picked up by Byron York from his sister, a Freeper, then by Peggy Noonan, and finally by Rush Limbaugh.
This was the turning point in my political life. It was time to cover some of the checks my mouth had been writing. The next day I became the local Republican Chairman due to the disability of our previous Chairman. In three weeks, twelve of us, managed Get Out The Vote phone calls to 19 out of 21 precincts. We managed to carry the township for the Senate candidate and almost carried it for Bush. If we hadn't made the effort it wouldn't have happened. It taught me the importance of a strong grass roots effort. It also taught me what a few dedicated people can accomplish in a short period of time.
We just elected a replacement assemblyman. It was a first ballot win in a three-way race. It was done by organization and getting our people to the meeting. Again, it's the people who vote that make a difference.
A lot of close races this year will be decided by who turns out. The Dems do not seem motivated. We are. It is our duty to get the faithful to the polls.
If you don't think what you do matters, sorry, wrong. What you do or don't do does matter. Bush won in Florida by less than half a precinct. It matters.
You matter!
I hate to say this but log off for a week. Contact your local candidate and volunteer to help, however you can. Maybe you can't put up signs or make phone calls, but maybe you'll free up someone else who can. It all helps.

If you see me here before the election, it will be early, lunch, or very late at night but not during prime time campaigning.
See y'all later.
We put out the Torch!.
It's time to douse the Louse.

Montana chapter of the Broken Glass Republicans checking in. Most of us are so pissed about the way the Dems treated Mike Taylor we could spit. I'll be crawling over broken glass IN THE SNOW to pull that lever.

We must drag, drive or carry every Republican we can find,to the polls next week!! We can turn back the evil, if we turn out in numbers like we did in 1994. Let's Blitz the Fritz!!

Thanks, I made a sign using your slogan, it's a good one, but I could only use it once. Lautenberg is keeping his schedule pretty much a secret.

Oh, I've been busy all right. We made calls and were able to get 50 more sign locations this year in my Demonrat town. Sponsored a campaign breakfast, attended freeholder debates, etc. Seems more republicans are more interested since we have a chance to elect the first repub. in 30 yrs. in NJ. But, I must say, they are running a terrible campaign. I just hope he slams the Louse tomorrow night in the debate. Wishful thinking.

IT'S 7 DAYS UNTIL THE ELECTION. WILL IT STILL BE HER SENATE?
GOOD INTENTIONS DON'T WIN ELECTIONS.

New ad attacking the Louse for his positions on national Security, best I've seen so far. Hope he keeps these sorts of ads up.

Thank you, Lone Palm....you're an inspiration to us all. Some of us are in more need than others ( I'm from NJ ) ....but I'm sure we all think your message is one that needs repeating....and shouting....and hollering......

And they said we were like a bunch of cats and couldn't be herded, snert!!!!
