When I saw the thread, I tuned to CSPAN. My first reaction: "I must have the wrong channel."
Why? Because they were playing this loud pop music. Totally inappropriate for a memorial service. What the heck is going on here?

Ye gods...this is
MEMORIAL SERVICE???? I am shocked beyond belief...and and jaded as I am, that is no easy task. I just hope that many others are as disgusted as I am by this horrid display. Smiling like this after a man's family has been ripped apart!

Truly nauseating, isn't it? It's old home week for the DNC. I just turned it on a little while ago. My husband is going to have a fit when he comes in here and sees this. Don't think he'll let it stay on long...

You're not the only one. I'm actually relieved that the VP was snubbed - imagine the response he would receive from the double digit crowd in the audience.
It's not surprising the democRATS act this way at a 'memorial' - just another stiff helping them to grab power.

Singers; "Hold on! Change is comin'. Everything gonna be alright. Lalalalalalalalalala. Don't you worry".

I will only get to see it if hubby goes to bed early. I hope those watching will report on the speeches and music.
Surely Minnesota will be horified at this.

This Democrat Convention, oh I mean memorial service for Paul Wellstone is on every single local channel. If it keeps up the way it is, I will be calling all the networks later this evening demanding equal time for the Republican Party

Overcome with glee, is more like it!!!
They are all mugging when the camera shows them on Fanavision in the arena...not even trying to fake a solemn event...
Applauding the Dem elites at a 'memorial service' is a bit tawdry, dontcha think???
To: dittomom
All the democrap senators are parading in like they are conquering heros...

You should see it! This is not Memorial Service but a campaign rally for Mondale. I hope every citizen of Minnesota sees this! I am totally appalled and even Daschle looks very uncomfortable!
To: DoctorMichael
Am I crazy, or are these people HAPPY that Wellstone is dead?
They're certainly acting like it.

The crowd sure looks all broke up!

You're right. Cheney would not be comfortable there.
Wow. Are they actually having a moment of silence now?

I can't watch it. A man and his wife and daughter were killed. Totally inappropriate behavior at a memorial service.
