Thune up by 3700 with 92% counted. Man, he has to be projected winner pretty soon.

I should have gone to bed. Coleman's lead just slipped 5,000 votes with very few added. Here it comes. I still think he'll be standing tomorrow. Good night again.

Davison Co South Dakota has 10,545 voters. This must be where there is 6,000 votes uncounted. Shannon Co has almost 7000 registered voters. Most of these are from the reservation. If 5,000 vote and 75% are for Johnson then he will gain 2500 votes on Thune in this county alone.

1872 m'lady.

We would have now two repub Senators if Barnes had not appointed Miller to replace Coverdell when he died in office.

I hope we don't see another "go to bed, and wake up to find some one we don't want to see in office" kind of thing going on

I think that's why I'm afraid to go to bed

Déja vu. Been there, done that. That's why I'm reluctant to go to bed, too.

But Fox is now saying MN may not be done counting until noon! So maybe I will have to call it a night soon.

Fox just brought up the fact that there are all those new absentee ballots that were allowed by the MSC(The ones that people had to ask for because they had already voted for wellstone). They have to be counted by hand. I guess you can pretty much assume that most all of those particular ballots are for mondale. I wonder if there system will protect them from the Dem printing press running late into the night?

Current:

I know, I know it wasn't *you*... you just did such a good job of picking SUCH a perfect moron, I decided to come unglued.

But since I can't flame him to his (pathetic excuse for a) face right there on DU, I had to settle for pretending he was here...

btw, somebody has freeped DU with a Javascript that pops up windows with "ALL YOUR SENATE ARE BELONG TO US" over and over again on almost every thread on there, and the DUmbocrats on there are going ape-Schumer-bananas (not that they ever had far to go, but...)

The Hispanic vote may have burned the GOP in New Mexico and the Bonilla seat. Those may be the only big disapointments for the GOP in the House. Other than that, the tea leaves proved amazing, with the GOP winning in GA-11 and FL-5 where they were minor underdogs, plus knocking off Gekas.

Any idea how many voters in Shannon and Davidson counties?

Looks like the other counties will be a push if the % in these counties remain the same for the uncounted precints.
