The Democrats need to turn to new leaders, people like Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller, if the party wants to ever be back in power. Yeah, right. Democrats like those are way too smart to oppose the President now. Lieberman will soon make us forget that he was the last VP nominee as he supports every bill the GOP gets to the floor of the Senate. Miller might as well be a Republican already.

NOW maybe this major league CLYMER -- klintoon -- will GO AWAY.
Let us pray that he takes the wicked witch of the east with him -- if she'll go.

"did anyone see Clinton on CSPAN 2 yesterday saying he had the middle east thing solved, but the Palis and the Israelis just fdidn't recognize his great plan." Between Bubba's "solutions", Al's "inventions" and Tiny Tommy's "concerns" we should be living in a pretty near perfect world.
I guess all those would-be beneficiaries of these superior (snicker, chortle, choke) minds just wouldn't listen and are suffering the consequences. < /sarcasm >

"We should not interrupt our enemies while they're busy destroying each other." So true! And it's cheap entertainment besides.

"Maybe he and the beast will retire in the hills of Arkansas." Oh come now. We are still trying to fumigate down here. We don't WANT him back. We are already probably one of the worst states in the country for election fraud, not to mention constantly being on the receiving end of abuse for spawning that worthless piece of garbage in the first place. Give us a chance to restore some dignity and clean up the place. Let Cuba have him, or China or one of those other places that he loves so much.

Is it possible that the DNC will now dump Terry McAuliffe, Bill and Hillary and Al Gore?I love to play chess, and needless to say, looking several steps ahead is an important thing to do there. I attempt to approach politics and economics the same way.
I have been trying to figure out what I would do if I were the Demodog dictator, attempting to look ahead a few steps. For the life of me, I have no idea how they can quickly recover right now, assuming the Republicans simply do not attempt to drag America right-ward too fast for the sheeple. From the stories we've heard, it is necessary to dump the 'Toons as fast as they can. The main problem is how can they do it? They are the "face" of the party, and they pull in much of the money contributed to the DNC. How can they give up those things?
That is only one of their problems; many others have been pointed out already, especially the fact that their "base" is a coalition of single issue groups which have little in common. Most of the "good" moves the Demodogs could make now seem to imply significant loss at least in the short run. The moves which do not lose a great deal immediately appear to doom them to a slow and inevitable crushing.
Without the Republican's help, the Demodogs truly have a Gordian knot now, and most of the easy solutions appear to benefit the Republicans for at least '04, and probably quite a few years after that.

They have missed it again. I have read many articles pointing out what caused the Democrats to lose the election. It is not that any of the reasons given are wrong, on the contrary they all have a little bit of truth in them. It is the fact that they are not willing to realize it was for all of the reasons. The American peoplk have been saving stamps for the last 8 years, and they finally filled their book.
It was the Democrats willingness to act like an abused wife that keeps going back to her husband no matter how badly she has been beaten.
It was the fact that the Democrats were not willing to grow up along with Americans after 9-11.
It was the fact that President Bush not only had a clear vision for America, he didn;t have a hidden agenda. In two short years they learned that they could trust and respect him. That he didn't lie, cheat and steal in order to win in the market place of ideas.
They learned that he could lead. He wasn't the Hollywood bad boy that everyone loves despite of themselves. He was the Hollywood hero. The good guy in the white hat.
They learned that the Democratic leadership were empty suits void of ideas and principles. Without a victim to protect and make excuses for, without a villian that they could attack; they didn't have any ideas, or core values.
When America watched the Wellstone memorial, it all came together, a visual graphic image for all America to see. A bunch of angry kean-spirited third rate con-artists caught on screen acting in public as they have acted in private.
Anericans realize now, that they can no longer overlook, make excuses or trivialize the Democrats behavior, anymore than a parent can blame their child's troubles on the child's frienda.
Americans are not stupid like the Democrats have believed, they are just incredibly slow to anger.

Sorry for not thinking about the good people of Arkansas. I think Afganistan might be a good choice or how about Iraq?

The Clinton faction still controls the Democrats, the question is why?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
In one word, the main reason the Democrats suffered defeat: Clinton. The party seems hopelessly in the grips of the leftwing, disreputable Clintons and their minions.Ride your party right into the ground "Big Dog" and Comrade Hillary! LOL! Ya gotta love it!!
