Is Ford taking the same position as Frost? Maybe they figure he's got a better chance of beating Pelosi (which is Frost's #1 priority if he wants to save the Democratic Party from itself)

Ford is staying in... Good. He's all first appearances. That guy is so arrogant and corrupt its not funny. He'll make the Torch look like Mother Theresa. If they pick Ford, they'll have to force him to resign before the 2004 elections, which will leave them in turmoil and infighting again.

Frost is a political enigma. He hasn't lived here for over 20 years, but keeps a lousy $400 apartment in Oak Cliff as his address. He brings home the bacon, and keeps getting re-elected somehow.
He might very well step aside for Kirk after this term...
