Nancy Pelosi: Great for the GOP!

Nancy Pelosi, 62-year-old congresswoman from California, is expected to win the Democratic position of minority leader of House of Representatives, now that Rep. Martin Frost of Texas has withdrawn from the race. Having Pelosi in that position is the best news ever for the GOP and for the people of the United States of America.

Pelosi's only in the Congress because she is the favored icon of the far-left wing of the Democratic Party in San Francisco, where voters are so un-American they actually have demonstrations in support of Saddam Hussein instead of our military forces!

Pelosi will be the butt of many insider jokes in the Democratic establishment. I once visited her Washington office to lobby her on a bill before the House, and what I found was an airhead incapable of independent thought. Although she has a reputation of a strikingly intelligent and well-prepared politician, I found something distinctly different. She was completely ignorant about the subject matter of the bill, but she was obviously completely in agreement with the people we were lobbying against. Time proved me right. The bill passed and years later it came to light that all the information I had was precise, while hers was totally contrived.

Pelosi is very very rich and disliked by many of her own Democratic colleagues. This woman is so far gone that her views of the war on terrorism are only supported by terrorists--homespun and otherwise. She is the worst possible enemy of our safety. She recently stated that she saw no threat from Saddam Hussein. After today's unanimous resolution in the United Nations, I wonder what is going on in her head. Nancy is not only disconnected from the American people, but she is disconnected from this world!

The Democrats are going to be hard-put to oppose the political popularity and accomplishment of George W. Bush. One speculates about who will carry the banner for the Democrats in 2004. Will it be Al Sharpton? Or Jesse ''Hi-Jack'' Jackson? Maybe they will ask Jimmy Carter to come back; after all they got Mondale to run for the Senate.

The Democrats are a sad lot. Al Gore set the tone when he tried to steal the 2000 election from George W. Bush. Even with all the voter fraud the Democrats have institutionalized, they were unable to do it. Then they engineered the defection of Senator Jumpin Jeffords of Vermont. Seems they are again trying to buy a couple of Republicans to win back the Senate! The truth is that the Democrats are abandoning the center and heading further to the left, and away from the American people.

It is up to Republicans to diversify, take on as much ammunition as possible, and exterminate the demorodents. If you can contain your laughter at the thought of Pelosi as a Queen Bee of Congress, then give the left wing a round of applause. They are so far out now that they could possibly win an election in Iraq!

Is Nancy really the best the Democrats have to offer?

I think there is a 200 way tie.

That picture looks like a "Stepford wife" pic....or what I imagine one would look like....frozen face, perpetual smile, and seething sadism beneath the veneer.

Good question! Let me see. We have an oversexed drunk from Massachusetts in the Senate. He is much respected by the left-wing liberal Democrats. There is a woman--well we think she's a woman--from New York--Think about it. Let's give the matter some thought. Instead of Nancy let's change the name to Bela--Bela Pelosi.

The picture of Pelosi is so fake she almost looks real. Sort of like the outside of a prototype version of the terminator.

She looks like a telepath from the horror movie "Scanners" who has just challenged another telepath to a duel.

I would certainly tend to agree with you. But I also remember BUSH #41 after the FIRST Gulf War and it looked like the dems were surrendering just like the Iraqis surrendered to CNN! But who won the election of 1992?

All I'm saying is that it's great that we won as big as we did, but we didn't win as big as we needed and it would be foolish to underestimate the opposition. Especially when they are desperate, like NOW.

You have to wonder if Nancy will actually cause FURTHER division of the Democrats. She is so far out there, they might just splinter. Maybe 2004 will be the first three-party race in a hundred years!

Has anyone heard any rumblings within their party?

I read an interview of Pelosi in 'Working Mother' magazine and she did come across as a not-too-bright liberal. No matter what the subject was, the answer was always 'more government funding'. She wants universal daycare and universal health insurance, too, with the govt picking up the tab.

Lucky for us, she's the best the Democrats have right now.

I agree with you. We should not be over-confident.

As you might have gathered from some of my comments, I live in California where there is even less reason to celebrate. Despite the popularity of Bush, Kalifornia manage to elect every Democrat on the ballot.

It is rather frustrating. One has to wonder if Bush should spend some time with the leaders of the California Republican party.

Yes, yes, yes... and this admonition is exactly why I am so excited about the way President Bush and Chairman Racicot are handling this now. No one is saying now saying "we've won the hearts and minds of the American people" as we (me too) were saying in '94. Time to keep our sleeves rolled up, and capitalize on the experience and organization and success we have had; it is not the time to take a nap.

The reason why,in her view, everything can be solved by more government spending is because she is a marxist-lenninist. This is the truth. There are many communists/socialists in Congress today and she is one of the more vocal.

A trip to the communist party USA page will show you where she gets her agenda. Not too bright=useful idiot to the communists.

Isn't it weird that people who inherit money or get gobs of money through marriage find it so easy to be communists. I don't get it, but many of these people are very wealthy. Instead of giving up their own wealth to "help" people and give them something to feel good about themselves, they'd rather give YOUR money to "help" people and give them something to feel good about themselves.

"There are few things more distasteful to hear than Pelosi on Ronn Owens' talk show.

He places his nose squarely up her wrinkled butt."

Martin, you are a cruel man.

Ronn gets more left every day. We tried to get Chronwatch.com on the phone when Bronstein was on to give our view of the SF Chron. As you might imagine, our offer was declined...
