Missing Adult, HELP NEEDED (crime in progress?) [SC]

I JUST got off the phone with my neice. It seems my sister (her mother) is missing since yesterday between 3pm and 4:40pm yesterday from the SouthCarolina area.

She headed north as far as we can track, but then nothing. This is TOTALLY uncharacteristic of her.

We need to know if she is on her own willingly making decisions, or if she has been abducted and is in need of help. Is there anybody from that area that can help?

ok, she spoke to hubbie from home via phone about 3 pm yesterday afternoon. She left home at that time saying she was headed for her local walmart near Aynor South Carolina..I don't know the exact town...maybe conroe or something? She never made it to walmart. Survaliance tapes show she never went in there. She withdrew some money from the bank locally. She put gas in her car at the north carolina / south carolina state line (cherry creek). She withdrew a BUNCH of money in Raliegh Durham North Carolina. She spoke to her daughter at 4:30 saying she was going christmas shopping and that she would be late. But she never made it home.

If she had any inclinations to leave home, she never indicated it, and she would NOT be heading NORTH!!

She is 5'7 inches tall, LONG legs, 150 lbs, has very short medium brown hair. lots of freckels, hazel eyes. Driving a Dark Blue BMW 4 door with a mini antennea on the driver's side on the post between the door and the windshield, licence plate # 845HLG

My brother in law is former military police. He made a call to the police and is tracking bank usage which is showing itself to be very abnormal such as numerous attempts to use the various cards but rejects due to wrong pin numbers. He's requested survalance tapes from the banks as well. She was supposed to go to walmart, but walmart survaliance tapes show she never made it there. So, hes compiling stuff to show that something IS very wrong.

Also, she talked to her daughter AFTER one of the cash drafts and said someting weird to her daughter...like I love you...and she NEVER says that to THAT daughter.

Anyway, I didn't want to put all this on the boards...

The minute Prairie Lady posted her plea on TimeBomb2000 we had this feeling that there was something BIG brewing behind her post. We felt something alarming and unusual had befallen Alice and we felt help needed to be directed to her IMMEDIATELY !!!

To say we are frustrated with Those In Charge is putting it mildly.

The criminal was STILL busy carjacking women in parking lots!

The authorities needed to USE ANY MEANS POSSIBLE to extract from him WHAT HAPPENED TO ALICE !!! Immediately! First order of business!

We cannot believe the sheer continuing bumbling fumbling incompetent delays, noncommunication and stupidity Those In Charge have bungled through this case.

If it weren't for the dogged heroic efforts of posters on TB2K and Free Republic, especially TankGurrrl, and other Internet forums, NOTHING WOULD HAVE EVER BEEN DONE.

And those total morons who first should have jumped on the case have NO EXPERIENCE, obviously, in CONNECTING DOTS !!!

TimeBomb2000 is all about becoming as self-sufficient as possible. One of the themes is that the authorities do not have the time or interest to really help one. This case verified this unfortunately reality.

Driver Leads Police On Chase

MARION, Ohio -- Ohio Highway Patrol troopers are asking for the public's assistance in locating one of the FBI's most wanted suspects, who allegedly was involved in a police chase Monday night.

Troopers were involved in a pursuit with a suspect, who is believed to have escaped from a state prison in Kentucky.

According to FBI sources, the suspect is believed to be Chadrick Fulks, 25 (pictured, left), of Lewisburg, Ky., and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 10:36 p.m. Monday, troopers observed a late model BMW with a West Virginia license plate parked in a Marion County rest stop along U.S. 23.

A check of the vehicle license plates revealed that the vehicle was stolen and possibly linked to two abductions that occurred on Nov. 5 and 14 in adjacent states.

Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle when it crossed the median and traveled southbound on U.S. 23. After a failed attempt with Stop Sticks, a tire-deflating device, officers lost sight of the vehicle.

Police said that the BMW received underbody damage and began losing fluids as it fled from the scene.

The car had West Virginia plates with the number 4DK302. It was unclear as to whether another person was inside the vehicle.

Police said that Fulks and Branden Basham escaped from a Kentucky jail earlier this month and have been on a cross-country crime spree, being linked to two abductions, the latest a 44-year-old South Carolina woman.

Basham was captured in Ashland, Ky., on Sunday, NewsChannel 4's Larry Roberts reported.

The escaped inmates also are suspects in the abduction of a Kentucky man as well as a burglary in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and numerous car thefts, police said.

"These guys have been hopscotching around the country in different stolen vehicles," said Horry County police Detective Todd Cox.

A videotape confirmed Alice Louise Donovan of Galivants Ferry was abducted Thursday from a Wal-Mart parking lot in Conway, authorities said Sunday. She remains missing.

Basham and Fulks also are suspected of abducting James Hawkins, 42, of Hanson, Ky., taking him 40 miles north to Indiana and leaving him bound to a tree, authorities said. Hawkins struggled for hours before freeing himself and summoning help.

Basham, 21, and Fulks, 25, escaped Nov. 4. Basham was serving a five-year sentence for writing a bad check and Fulks was awaiting trial on robbery charges, authorities said.

As Donovan's family passed out fliers with her photo Sunday, police said her ATM card had been used in Little River and near Raleigh, N.C., late Thursday and Friday. Police don't know if she is being held captive.

"She could be tied to a tree, or she could be in the trunk of a car. We just don't know," Horry County police Detective Tony Collins said.

The abduction happened about 45 minutes after the inmates shot at a man who interrupted a burglary at his son's mobile home in rural Horry County, police said.

Hawkins, the man abducted in Kentucky, had bruises and scrapes on his wrists and legs, but was otherwise unhurt.

"He literally wrestled with the cord and tape for 14 hours," Vanderburgh County, Ind., sheriff's Maj. Tom Wallis said. "He kept moving to keep warm."

His truck was found in northern Indiana.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is requesting that if any information is known about the suspects or the incidents to call (877) 7-PATROL.

TG you are one awesome lady! And thanks to Cascadians for bringing Alice to our attention. Everyone please remember the incredible power of prayer. Our human efforts, no matter how mighty they are, can only go so far.

I'm convinced the diligence of TG, Cascadians, other Freepers and TB'ers, are responsible for bringing Alice's situation into the national spotlight. I'm equally convinced that when we are moved to do a task, we're not in it by ourselves...there is an invisible hand that guides us.

Keep the faith and keep praying. There are a LOT more than two of us scattered throughout the country, and we have the same purpose...to find Alice.

Have not been to TimeBomb 2000. My husband thinks I spend too much time HERE :), so I will have to go check out TB when things slow down here.

This whole thing has made several things clear to me. "We the People" can make a difference.

The thing is that those of us who "live" on Free Republic have lives and jobs and families and priorities too but are able to recognize when saving a life becomes THE top priority. Certainly those who deal with this kind of thing as a profession should realize that too. I think common sense and instinct goes into high gear in a situation like this if you are dealing with people who CARE what happens to someone. It just seems to me that some of the LE people on this case are either dumber than a box of rocks or lack basic human instincts and emotion. Maybe I am being too judgemental but it just seems to me that there are certain situations that demand putting everything else on hold and focusing all available resources where they are most needed and right now they need to be focused on finding Alice.

Jail Escapee Still On The Loose

The Ohio State Highway Patrol chased but failed to capture one of two men who escaped from a Kentucky jail and are suspected in abductions and car thefts.
A trooper broke off the pursuit because he feared another officer had been injured, patrol spokesman Lt. Gary Lewis said. He said authorities statewide are looking for the car.

The other inmate was arrested in Kentucky on Sunday.

The next night, the highway patrol spotted a man believed to be Chadrick Fulks, 25, sleeping in a BMW parked in a rest area in Marion County, in north-central Ohio. The patrol said the trooper noticed that the car had a stolen West Virginia license plate.

Fulks sped off when the trooper ordered him out of the car, the patrol said. Another trooper tried to stop the car by placing spiked strips on the freeway, but the driver crossed the median, nearly striking the trooper, Lewis said.

The pursuing trooper then stopped the chase, believing the other trooper was injured.

"Our officer saw the trooper jumping out of the way of the car and thought that he had been struck," Lewis said. The trooper was not injured.

Fulks and Branden Basham, 21, escaped Nov. 4 from the Hopkins County jail in western Kentucky. They are suspected of abducting a 42-year-old Kentucky man and a 44-year-old South Carolina woman. The man was left bound to a tree and eventually freed himself. The woman, whose BMW was stolen, remains missing.

"Our trooper did not see anyone else in the car but we don't know if there were possible victims or abductions inside the trunk," Lewis said.

Lewis said authorities believe the car is disabled because its underbody was damaged when it crossed the median and it began losing fluids.

Basham, of Hopkins County, Ky., was serving a five-year sentence for writing a bad check. Fulks, of Lewisburg, Ky., was awaiting trial on robbery charges, authorities said.

Basham was taken into custody in Ashland, Ky., after police say he tried to carjack two women in the parking lot of an Ashland mall.
