Perhaps, but the bigger problem I have is that Lott know CSPAN cameras there. He also know that such a comment could cause problems for the Republicans as a whole. And he still told the [expletive deleted] joke anyhow.

The term for this is FELONY STUPID. We cannot afford fools that will torch outreach efforts to blacks and Hispanics with a single thoughtless comment. Therefore, we should not tolerate them. Trent Lott needs to step down as Majority Leader - let Bill Frist handle that job.

It's not a matter of failing to unleash, Mud, my friend, it's a matter of protecting another dishonest politician. The President lost my trust when he signed the CFR knowing full well that it violated free speech. He failed to honor his oath to uphold the Constitution when he signed. In addition, he gave us two more laws that are an assault on our freedoms and liberties, i,e; the mis-named p.a.t.r.i.o.t law and the "homeleand" security law. Both were sold to the American public as PREVENTION against "terrorists" when anyone who has an pince of common sense knows that there isn't a law that has PREVENTED any crime. These laws will come back to haunt America in the future. Laws against murder, gun laws, rape laws, theft etc., have not stopped any one of these acts in fact, the perps violated laws against hijacking, taking of hostages, murder, theft and destruction of property. These existing laws did not PREVENT these crimes on 9-11.

Let's take an overview, shall we and see if we can see a pattern to "seemingly" un-related items?:

a) The CFR assault on free speech 30 days before the end of a primary and 60 days before the end of a general election,

b) Section 802 of the obscene p.at.r.i.o.t. law has No Expiration date as does the rest of the law ( 4 years) and that alone makes it suspect. Why would they do that? Read clauses 5A & 5B ( they are conjunctive) which poses future danger of speaking out against a government policy or demonstrating against a government policy.

c) The "homestead" security law is full of protections for special interests. All designed to limit freedoms of 200,000,000+ Americans. Of course, the daily warnings are designed to keep us on edge so more of these laws can be passed because evidently, many Americans would rather be safe in the arms of big government rather than be free.

I judge a "feel good" law by what damage it can do in the future and A,B & C are potentailly dangerous.

And let's not forget that this "conservative" President has spent some 782,000,000,000 of NEW spending.

I know I'm leaving myself open for any number of flames such as: disrupter, libertarian, democrat, communist, tin foul hat wearer that the Bush blind loyalists will call me, but, what the heck, I'm a big boy.
