It's great to see someone take initiative on this issue when the government isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing, protecting our borders.
I just wish that people didn't have to form militia's to secure the borders, but it looks like the only way it will get done.

Douglas is a Hispanic community. If you've got militia types running around claiming to be enforcing immigration laws, how are they going to tell who's who?I support the militias if they're protecting private property. It doesn't matter what race someone is if they don't have permission to be on your property.

I just wish that people didn't have to form militia's to secure the bordersI think that's where it's going to get tricky ---I don't see how they can secure the borders. The illegals will learn to cross over someplace else where they aren't going to be arrested by the militias guarding someone's private property.

If someone is on your property and is trespassing, it doesn't matter what language they speak. But what happens if the illegal isn't on someone's private property? Or is on the property of someone who is allowing them to be there? The militias can't get them then. Language isn't always a reliable way of knowing if someone is legal because many citizens aren't having their kids learn English now. Also some illegals know English.

Douglas is an American community. Mayor Borane is one of those hyphenated Americans who has deep roots in the enemy nation (Mexico). This just goes to show you that some people are unfit to hold office in this country under any circumstances.

A Tombstone weekly newspaper publisher recently called for the formation of a citizen militia to combat illegal immigration. What's your opinion?
