Agreed.

I don't understand Bush's "alleged" support of this amnesty. Don't most Mexican-Americans vote Democratic? Why would Bush want 3 million more Democratic voters? There's no logic here. Just the appeasement of Vincente Fox, and for what?

You want to make your voices heard where it counts? Go to NumbersUSA.com and register. From there you can fax your representatives and the White House and tell them to stop the pandering to illegals. It's quick and very easy to do. They e-mail you when important issues are on the table so you can fax away. If everyone here on FR did that maybe we could have one strong solid voice. As the saying goes the sqeaky wheel gets the oil.

Question: Was this the poem that some Colorado state employee forwarded to some co-workers and he got fired for it?

On the Channel 7 Eyewitness News last night, they had a story about people jumping the border from Mexico to the US. All the promos mentioned "people willing to risk their lives to come here," (we're supposed to feel sympathy,) and the promos also promised that the segment would talk about what this means for our security. Well, the actual segment said NOTHING about our security. For one thing, it stated that there are four million illegals in this country, and we all know the number is much bigger than that. Plus the piece was a total sob story, talking about women and children left behind in Mexico who are just desperate to be with their loved ones in America, but the poor things are just terrified to cross the border because we mean Americans make things so tough for them. They interviewed a teenage boy who's living in a shelter in Mexico because his parents snuck over the border, and he wants to jump the border himself but is so afraid, boo hoo. Not one word was said about how his parents CHOSE to jump the border, and what all of this means for Americans and legal immigrants, our security, our safety, our taxes, etc., etc. We're just supposed to feel sorry for these people. I'm so sick of this. How about some sob stories about Americans being driven from their homes, robbed, raped, or killed? How about a sob story about American kids robbed of their educations because they have to go to dangerous, overcrowded schools where Spanish speakers are catered to? No. We are only supposed to feel sorry for the illegals.

Weimdog,

Mexicans tend to vote democratic, so no help there.
Business owners, who tend toward conservatism, love the cheap labor.

So the taxpayer gets screwed. We've been sold out folks.

The appeasement is to the "Two-Party Cartel" puppetiers. These elites run the show in both parties & keep their kind in power.

I don't blame you for "giving up" but I just can't do that due to family concerns. But God bless you. For victory & freedom!!!

Gray Davis had been Governor that entire time, and George Bush has been President for most of it. Neither have been particularly helpful.

You're right, pal.

Like I said - President Fox needs to improve the conditions in his country so that his citizens can be proud to be called Mexican citizens. Good grief!

Be sure to mention this to all your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family too. We can never have enough people making noise about this serious situation.

I wish someone with a bit of time and the necessary research skills would post the Federal penalties/guidelines to employers who are caught hiring Illegals.

If these employers were 'outed' within their communities, if they looked out their front window some lunch-time to see informed citizens with signs parading up and down their sidewalks, I'll bet the Illegal faces and the phoney ssn's would disappear in a hurry.

You're right. Gov. Davis is calling a special session of the Legislature to deal with the budget mess. But do you think for one minute they will DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION?! Oh, no!!! They'll do everything but that. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Then here is what you can do. Do you have any skills such as auto repair or baking or sewing or anything like that? Do you have a neighbor who has a skill that you need? Can you trade with them? Welcome to the wonderful world of barter, where real value gets created and exchanged without ol' Uncle Sam taking his cut. The time you spend working to create value for a barter transaction is time you spend creating wealth that isn't going to be used against you, unlike the wealth you create when you are "on the clock" and paying taxes. You know, those taxes that get given to illegal immigrants? Get the idea?

Start small, and keep your eyes open for opportunities to trade and barter with other people. You would be amazed at some of the opportunities that can present themselves. The more you make happen for yourself, the more your friends and neighbors will take interest and soon they will want to trade and barter as well. This is a natural human response to oppressive taxes, most people just havn't seen any alternatives yet. The more people break out of the system, the easier it becomes for even more people to break out of the system. Eventually the system collapses under its own weight, and hopefully we can build something sane in its place.

Or, we could all continue to slave away for Corporate America, having our wages confiscated by the government while our company imports government subsidized H1-B's for us to train as our replacements. Oh, such wonderful loyalty is shown by Corporate America to those who have served it for decades! Almost as much loyalty as is shown to us by our government who keeps bringing in millions of immigrants each and every year, even though every single poll that has been taken for the last ten years has shown a solid majority of citizens are against any more immigration whatsoever. Just kinda brings a lump to the ol' throat to think about it all.

We'll need customs agents at the CA border. Wouldn't that be a hoot! But that isn't what's important. What's important is that Poindexter needs to investigate every citizen's purchasing algarythms.

All the promos mentioned "people willing to risk their lives to come here," (we're supposed to feel sympathy,)

We can have pity ---it's just an emotion but it's no solution. We can make it easier for them, we could provide buses and planes for them to come over in more comfort but it solves not a single problem for either country. The real answer would be for Mexico to make the changes it must make and people can have a good life in their own country.
