Gay Mentors For Dadless Youths

Gay Mentors For Dadless Youths By Pastor Grant Swank, Jr. (posted 12/02/02)

It’s a new pitch. Big Brothers-Big Sisters (BBSA) is on the cutting edge with this one, so they publicize.

The policy is to make it a lot easier for youths to be mentored by adult gay role models—all this without the children’s parents’ knowledge.

Concerned Women for America and its affiliate, the Culture & Family Institute, have put out the alarm. They also have attempted to get further hard data from BBSA but with no success.

Focus on the Family family psychologist Dr. William J. Maier also has labored day and night trying to get out to the grassroots this latest BBSA sabotage.

"The folks at ‘Big Brothers’ won’t return my calls. I wish they would, because I’d like to ask them a few questions about their new policy," Dr. Maier stated. "I’ve learned they are forcing all 490 of their local chapters around the country to accept homosexuals as mentors to kids. You see, I’m a child psychologist and I’m not sure that’s such a good idea.

"I’ve worked with a lot of fatherless boys. Many of them have never even met their dads. They were either born out of wedlock or deserted by immature or irresponsible men. Many are emotionally fragile and suffering from what one sociologist has coined ‘father need.’

"These boys are desperate for male attention and affirmation. Their moms are doing the best they can, and desire more than anything else for their sons to grow up to be good husbands and fathers. Unfortunately they can’t learn those skills from a gay man, no matter how nice he is."

BBSA won’t couple an adult man with a teen girl. Why not? Risky, they say.

Yet putting a gay mentor with a dadless boy is not risky? Check out the latest angst we’ve all lived through regarding gay priests in the Catholic Church. Like, dah!

Dr. Maier says that "nearly all of the recent molestation incidents involving the Catholic Church were between a man and a boy. Dr. Curtis Bryant, a psychologist who has worked with 400 abusive priests, reports that most of those he has treated are gay (Washington Post, 8/26). In light of these facts, Big Brothers’ new policy seems reckless and irresponsible.

"Certainly most gay men are not pedophiles. But many mainstream gay leaders continue to promote the virtues of sex between men and boys. The San Francisco Sentinel [a defunct homosexual newspaper] has stated ‘The love between men and boys is at the foundation of homosexuality.’

"Another gay publication, The Guide, based in Boston, declared ‘Instead of fearing being labeled pedophiles, we must proudly proclaim that sex is good, including children’s sexuality. We must do it for the children’s sake.’ Statements like these beg the question: How can pairing a boy, starving for male attention, with a gay man be a good idea?"

Parents of youths in this BBSA program will not know that their sons and daughters are linked with gay men or lesbian women. This obviously goes against parental rights.

Yet BBSA continues to tick off buzzwords that are politically correct: "inclusive" and "anti-discriminatory." Of course, this is a sham for BBSA’s own twisted programming to further gays’ own interests and so to heck with the kids.

Gay activists, like pro-choice enthusiasts, are as selfish as selfish can be. Their agendas are for their own ego-centers, nothing more.

If this is allowed there will be a mob of grays swarming into the organization to indoctrinate kids into the psychiatric thought disorder underwriting homosexuality.

If the damn moslems have anything useful to teach us that would be their concept of 'jihad'... Total, uncompromising and unapologetic war on the enemy.

We'll eventually have to employ this against our enemies...

Or die.

The homosexual predators will do anything to procure new fresh meat for their sexual deviation that drives them during their short life span.

These poor young boys don't stand a chance.

Of course we have Freepers who don't want any background checks on anyone wanting to work with unprotected youths! They claim that it is against our constitution to protect innocent youth by using background checks to eliminate the past offenders.

No need to worry about that, the incoming system will fix all problems "Dispel Mark of Beast Phobia", replace cards with biometrics, 100 million users, pilot launched background checks and such will be able to be done when do anything without anyone even knowing.

It's true. Biometrics can recognize facial features and pick out wanted felons, as cameras scan the crowds at a football game. It's been done at the 2002 Super Bowl, and it's only a matter of time before it's going to be done wherever a crowd gathers in a public place.

The technology will also allow cameras mounted in police cars to scan license plates, and alert the officer whenever a car is spotted that has been stolen, or is owned by a driver with a rovoked license, for example.

Is this a good thing? The law-abiding have nothing to worry about. Or do we?

As I alluded to in the other thread, we have plenty to worry about. I linked (in the other thread) to a lawsuit lost by someone on welfare - they did not want to do the fingerprint scan thing for religious reasons. They lost (perhaps for technical reasons).

Further, there could be insurance costs tied to everything you do. What you eat, how often you eat it, anything and everything would be tracked as cash would be nearly gone (example for cash users, stores jack up prices and you either use the card or lose money - they are promoting similar ideas with the biometrics).

And these quotes from the government site's paper are disturbing:

Failure To Enroll (goats): 2 elderly people
Only 1 un-enrollment Lady’s husband was convinced this was the “Mark of the Beast”, and made her un-enroll Must continue to educate the public on how biometric technology works to dispel the “Mark of the Beast” phobia

And many more.

Bringing biometrics into this discussion is irrelevent.

What is being tried here by the predator gays is their usual attempt to recruite fresh meat by becoming mentors, boy scout leaders, or teachers.

The simple use of present police records will keep many of these predators away from innocent children.

We never seem to discuss whether the answer is to outlaw homosexuality by making it illegal.

Surely the risk of our boys being corrupted by queers is too great for us to be squeamish about making ALL homosexual activity a crime? Why draw the line at pederasty? What is so fine and American about one guy committing a gross act with another guy? Everyone goes pussyfooting around this question, but aren't we all being a little bit ... dare I say ... liberal in our attitudes towards queers? It is a sin, America is a Christian country, and we should criminalize it.

America is not a Christian country. If it was, we wouldn't have the problems we have today.

"...If you're going to bash my religion (and adding nothing to the topic at hand), at least spell it correctly..."

LOL!

You must be a young moslem.

'muslim' is a revisionist spelling, like 'Bejing' (Peking). I'll stick with 'moslem', thanks.

"...That said, I don't see how this is any less risky than pairing a male mentor with a female child. Actually, different-gender pairings would be more dangerous..."

"...Let's not forget that the vast majority of gay men are law-abiding citizens..."

No sale here on either of these bits of wishful thinking.

"...Still, one has to wonder if the heterosexual and homosexual pedophile communities are drooling at this prospect...yikes..."

'Wonder'?

I think it's a safe bet that they're lubing up the love plumbing as we speak.

Shame on you! The Founding Fathers created America as a Christian country. Our laws should reflect the Christian prohibition on homosexuality. You are adopting a very liberal stance on this issue. Are you in favor of allowing sodomy to be practiced? Shouldn't we prevent pederasty at all costs?

It's unfortunate, reborn22, but I don't see what we can outlaw all homosexual activity while staying true to the Constitution. Remember that freedom of religion is one of the most important cornerstones of the Bill of Rights. It includes the right not to be governed by someone else's religious laws.

Remember also that the Declaration of Independence says we are "endowed by [our] Creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

I will always support the rights of parents to protect their children, by keeping homosexuals away from children. I have repeatedly posted the abundant scientific proof that homosexuals are far more likely to engage in sexual contact with teenagers who are under the legal age of consent.

This means that they should be kept out of teaching, coaching, leading youth groups such as Scouting, and similar jobs. They should also be prevented from adopting children. Also, the government should pursue a public information campaign to discourage young people from experimenting with the homosexual lifestyle.

But the Constitution prevents us from outlawing it completely.

The way to take action is to get the truth out, and elect local, state and national governments that will help to get the truth out. Homosexuals are many times more likely to have sexual relations with teenagers below the legal age of consent.

They are many times more likely to be promiscuous. As a result, they are many times more likely to have hepatitis, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.

They're more likely to become addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, and more likely to attempt suicide. Homosexual men have a life expectancy six to 20 years shorter than heterosexual men.

A public information campaign, based entirely on the threat to public health that the homosexual lifestyle presents, is well within the limits of the Constritution. After all, the left-wing Democrats have involved us in all manner of hideously expensive public projects based on four little words in the Preamble: "promote the general welfare."

Disagree. The State of Texas will test its law against homosexual sodomy in case just taken up by the Supreme Court.

People arguing due process have to show how the State didn't pass the law according to public processes, or how it abridged people's rights in doing so.

People arguing discrimination have to show how the law applies to homosexuals and not to me. Their problem is that the law bans the act, not the orientation or the desire, without regard to whether the perpetrators are male, female, straight or gay.

Their best argument is the Ninth Amendment, but to do that they'd have to a) turn into constitutional scholars overnight, b) excavate an article of the Constitution whose only use in 215 years has been to flog Judge Robert Bork in a confirmation hearing, and c) overturn 70 years of Fabian socialist empire-building to establish that people do retain unenumerated rights, which would mean contrariwise that the State is not, after all, omnipotent. And the Left just ain't gonna do that!
