GOP Governor to End 40-Year Era in Hawaii
"Compared with bygone days, when they were throwing off a Republican elite that fostered social inequity, Democrats are less rabidly partisan, said Pat Loui, president of the polling firm OmniTrak. Fewer people remember times of plantation oppression."
"Democrats, by contrast, look tired compared with the days when they transformed Hawaii, said Gregory Gaydos, associate professor of political science at Hawaii Pacific University. "They did a lot of good things, but as time went by, they... ran out---of steam."
1st Republican senator in Louisiana in 150 years...GREAT!
To: William Creel

I saw some footage of her on FNC, the other day. It is an Ol' Crusty pantsuit. She even had on a Hillary pink blouse, to complete the ensemble.

Be vigilant you guys, this doesn't make sense. The unions can ALWAYS get people out so if there's nobody there this may be just to make the pubbies feel safe and not everyone will get out and vote.

I agree with you McGavin! No way the unions couldn't get a crowd for Landrieu. This is probably the last ditch effort to make Republicans think Terrell has it in the bag. Sure hope LA voters don't fall for this....this has the clintons written all over it.

How can Dems vote on Friday and Repubs vote on Saturday? That makes no sense. If you are supposed to vote one day but can vote the other if you are too busy, that gives Dems 2 days to vote. Also, when do independents vote?
Is this a joke? If so, why would you be voting on Friday? Wouldn't the joke be that Repubs vote on Sat, the Dems vote on Sunday?
Will someone who knows tell us the real story?
To: nolaw0ady
Great thread! Hope you help get out the pubbie vote.....take the feeble and almost dead to the polls to vote for Terrell, as you know the zombies will walk to the polls for Landreau....
NOLA has never been so important to the nation!
To: nolaw0ady
Thanks! Now I want pictures of all the people who AREN'T there! LOL

Is there any way that RATS can vote tomorrow and Saturday? Is this how it's always done in LA or is this a special rule for just this race? Is this a way for Landrieu to steal the election?

So the Republicans didn't run a commercial that showed footage of Landrieu's new Plantation Home in Washington?!
Why wouldn't they want to advertise their opponent's new Plantation Mansion?
Wouldn't that make a great contrast to the image that she is trying to convey to/for Democrats in Lousianna??

hehehehe. Thanks for the good news and congraulations on your first posted thread :) I'll betcha part of the problem tonight is the cold weather but no matter, it has to be a demoralizing blow to the campaign less than 48 hrs before the polls open.

" Nobody showed up! The WWL camera panned the floor of the auditorium and there were maybe 5 people there..." OK, Doing my best Elaine Benis imitation...
GET......OUT!!!
To: McGavin999; Wait4Truth
I think the Democrats are calling people to say that Landrieu has already lost and they secretly plan to paint it as a big Bush loss if she wins. This is what was reported during Crossfire tonight. We need to take nothing for granted. If Terrell is going to win by 6, let's make it 8.

Actually, it's probably a Hitlery hand me down that didn't make it to the Salvation Army for a tax right off.

WWL tvLandrieu, meanwhile scheduled visits in rural Washington Parish north of Lake Pontchartrain. Later, she was to attend a midday rally in Lafayette, meet with sugar farmers in Houma, then attend a major rally in New Orleans.
Uh oh...... but they still have time to bus a few in from the boats, etc.
