TOYS FOR TOTS -- Christmas FReep REQUEST!!
US Marine Corps ^ | December 13, 2002 | Self

Posted on 12/13/2002 3:19:51 PM PST by RedWhiteBlue

First I ask your understanding regarding this vanity; to date it is the only one I have ever posted.

I just wanted to remind all Freepers that it is not too late to do something to help with the US Marine Corps charity "Toys For Tots."

At the very least, click HERE. Just by clicking this link, you will go to the Bristol Meyers Excedrin website, and Bristol Meyers will donate a $1 to Toys For Tots. What could be easier!! Also, please keep this thread bumped to make it more likely that other freepers will learn about this link.

If you would like to do more, visit the TOYS FOR TOTS WEBSITE where you can donate more money or find out where the toy drop-off is located in your area.

The preferred toy donation is the R. Lee Ermy action doll. Kids love these motivational figures!

Not quite a kid's toy, but well-loved by many "kids at heart." My nephew has one -- he is a Lance Corporal at Camp Pendelton, and all of the Marines there love it. His CO plays with it when he comes through for inspection time.

Thanks for posting this. I donate to Toys for Tots every year, but somehow it slipped my mind this year. I'm going to donate online right now!

Thanks, also, for posting the Bristol Meyers link. I had fun with their money!;o)

Hey Guys! The Real R Lee Ermey is hosting a show on the History Channel called Mail Call Sunday nights. He is promoting the show dressed as Gunny Hartman (in the new USMC Camo). The ad is great.

Ever since I saw an article about R Lee Ermey as Gunny Claus, I have had nothing but the greatest respect for the man. Good sense of humor. His Gunny would be proud.

Big bump for the Marines and Toys for Tots! I dropped mine off today. Monday's the pickup day in our area (SW Florida). They need toys.

Thanks for the Bayer link, RWB. (^;

No problem. The link really is an easy way to influence Bristol Meyers donation to the foundation, and all you have to do in return is visit their website. I know that I will remember their support for this charity. I am dropping off Toys on Monday.
