I posted my reply without checking the "meanwhile, back at the ranch." Are you sure you're in the right chatroom?

"He has also stood up for justice in the Middle East"

Carter helped topple the Shah of Iran to install the Ayatollahs. If that's standing up for justice, then I'm a meat popscicle, and my wife is a cottontail rabbit.

Carter gutted the military, was a moron who allowed America to be victimized by Castor in as much that Castro sent his criminals and psychotics to us. He had nothing but praise for dictators and other such criminals.

Carter was and remains a fool, and has made himself a traiter to everything America stands for in his service for Kofi Annan.

As one unfortunate enough to have lived through his Admnistration as a young adult, I can say quite honestly he was the most incompetent President of my lifetime. He was also a very petty, thin-skinned person who did not leave the Presidency gracefully, but rather with a lot of cheap shots at Reagan. He is totally self-aggrandizing and morally arrogant. Even the house-building gig has always been done with maximum publicity about how wonderful he is. You had to have lived through his White House years to have appreciated just how depressing they were, but he tried to base a re-election campaign by slandering Reagan with the usual leftist fantasies. He was so inept that the public wasn't buying it.

Umm.. the Mid East destabilized because of CARTER'S idiocy in toppling the Shah.
Carter is directly responsible for the current situation, and Desert STorm. If there had been no Ayatollah, then there would have been no Iran-Iraq war.. and there would have been no Desert Storm.

Toppling the Shah was the dumbest betrayal of an ally this country ever did, and it is all Carter's fault.

"My relatives gave their lives in the name of decency and civilised values"

To your relatives: the whole world owes them more than can ever be repaid.

To you: try practicing what your relatives died for.

"freyadixon signed up 2002-12-14."

You are so much more diplomatic in talking about the "c" word than I have ever found myself capable of.Thank you for posting a reasonbly worded opinion of a man I loathe and who's grave I intend to travel to and spit on, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Hey, I'll see you there -- I'll be the one dancing on it!! Chin up, he's only a minor annoyance now, not our President. Those were grim days, to be sure.

"Those were grim days, to be sure."

And only another 10 years to go, before this country understands that Carter taught Clinton how best to mercilessly slaughter honorable USA servicemen in the quest for the socialist agenda.

May he survive only long enough to wittness the entire populace of the USA demanding his blood, before God consigns him to hell!

We are delighted that she has moved to England.

And we couldn't be more delighted that Madonna has moved to England, either. Good luck. You might try directing her to nearest local mosque.

BTW, would you like to put in a bid for Michael Jackson or Senn Penn to go with Madonna? Please!

We will always be loyal to you.

Merry Christmas to you, we owe so much to England and our English ties. Traced one of mine back to 1540 in Yorkshire, but it was the less than reputible ancestors that snuck over from England after 1640. And Churchill's mother was half-American. We'll always be there, and God save the Queen! :)

Diplomacy isn't your strong point to be perfectly honest.

No one can defend the indefensible, you're right.

The oldest ancestor on my familly tree, was called Hengis, an Anglo Saxon war lord bought over by the Romans to fight the Scotts .I have the tree from then , all the way down the line to me!!!

What a family history!

It is interesting . If you look at a familly tree, there are surprisingly few couples on it. Few people span hundreds of years. There were many wars and hardships, all the way down the line.

Yes, England has gone through so many wars, and who knows what the killed would have done, if allowed to live.

English people are loyal to America. We are more loyal to you ,than countries in Europe.

Our bonds have never broken. And it meant a great deal when Tony Blair showed up in Congress when Bush gave his speech after 9/ll. We were looking for friends and only the British Prime Minister stood out in the gallery. Of course, the Frogs were no where to be found. :)

We do have ethnic minorities in England, who are English.

England maintains its character.

Just don't let it become Muslim or African. In the mean time, we'll try to stop being overrun by Mexicans and other South Americans. Diversity and multiculturalism are just fine until you're out-numbered by people that don't share your values.
