"We've got to ask, why is this man (Osama bin Laden) so popular around the world?," ,
That's a funny observation. If I recall correctly, Adolf Hitler was loved by his countrymen too. Maybe because he's promising his followers certain things (goods from Christians, Jews, Americans) after they are slaughtered; or maybe the doe-eyed virgins in the afterlife.

I don't think they printed all of what she said....I heard she also said "OBL is well liked because he is so helpful building health care facilities and helping his people, while we are the ones doing the bombing" (that's paraphrasing).......I am so angry .....I am faxing her a note along with a picture of people being forced to jump from the Twin Towers.....her fax # is 202-224-0238 (DC) her Seattle office phone number is...206-553-5545.

"He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that."Lady, name some examples. But assuming you actually have a point - first, he's buying their loyalty. He's in no position of authority to exact REAL change - the countries are still impoverished and floundering. If anything, the country in which he enjoyed the highest level of "respect" grew much WORSE under his watch. He languished there with full support of the Taliban, one of the most repressive, backward regimes in history. Fat lot of good his presence did the average Afghan.
Secondly, and far more likely, their adoration has nothing whatsoever to do with any social improvements he has or hasn't made in their respective societies. It's all about ideology, lady. A sick, twisted one that glorifies death and destruction in the name of religion.
This woman is sick.

Lot of people loved Hitler during his time.
Sometimes women in leadership are an embarrassement to all of us other women in America. What a shameful embarrassment to the country!!!

This lady actually babysat me as a child and my family watched Randy, her son, on alternate days. It's amazing how corrupt and leftist she has become. The power has corrupted her, absolutely. She's not an insane person. She's just come under the influence of the DemonRATS and will do anything to secure her families place on the New World Order. How I'd like to slap her in the face and ask what happened to the sweet "Mom in Tennis Shoes" that used to watch me after school.

Seems to me that Patty Murray is a perfect example of the thinking in the State of Washington.

Just called the senator's office to express my outrage. Person answering the phone is as pathetic as the senator. Could hear the phone ringing like crazy in the background. Hope she gets the message. What a disgrace for a US senator

We need a formal declaration of war so that fifth columnists like this witch can be locked up until the war is won.

Actually, it's King county. This is a blue county. I'm in the heart of downtown Seattle and I'm surrounded by this thinking. I haven't lost a debate yet with any of these non-thinkers that are willing to take me on. Now that republicans control at the national level, the debates are kind of fun.
Boy, does my son have it out with the other bike messengers sometimes. He finally realized they are politically ignorant, no matter how strong their opinions, or how many rally's they attend. They are really beginning to look silly, like a brounshirt in a "Hitlerless" world.

Yes this was posted last night but it bears repeating. This woman takes the prize for the most idiotic statement concerning UBL and terrorism. And considering what some public figures have said that is no mean feat!
Voters of Washington unite and get this embarassment out of the Senate in 2004! I will personally contribute to her ouster.

I just called Sen Patty Murray's office, got through, and spoke to one of her assistants. I was very polite and asked if what Sen. Murray was reported to have said was true. (I quoted the article )
The backpeddling was immediate and I was told it was taken out of context and the students were asking why Osama was so well liked etc.and that the senator was not praising Osama.
As the conversation went on I realized the assistant was another touchy feely why can't we all get along type.
I explained to her why we can't all get along; because of the fundamental beliefs of Islam. I told her Osama bin Laden is a multimillionaire and he gave up the easy good life to risk his own to follow his religious beliefs. Islam is the problem not poverty or the fact that we didn't pore money into helping out Arab countries.
She kept asking me if I thought we should be helping these poor muslim people out, and I said no,because their religious beliefs call for them to kill us.
Then she said she would pass the info on to the senator. - Tom

We should use this as their "Trent Lott moment". We should make every bit a big deal of these statements as they did with Trent.
