Flying commercially is the most unpleasant experience in life, with the chance of a felony arrest or death as an added fillip. I flew 150,000 miles a year prior to 9-11. I don't fly commercially any more. If I can't fly private aviation, take a train or drive, I don't go there.10-4 on go by private plane. Unless your trip has no lead-time for the most part you can arrange a flight at modest cost. This is a best-kept secret.

They got you, don't they? Put up no resistance, let them do whatever they want, meekly stand there while your wife is humiliated and for God's sake, don't ever, ever, ever get the least bit angry at one of those highly trained Federal employees. I amd sure glad I don't have you backing me up.

I said he was human and maybe "right" to be upset. He should have left it at that... he is the one that distracted me with the breech. I don't know how much of a temper tantrum he had, or whether he should have been arrested, but I do know that temper tantrums at airports are not wise.
To: raybbr
Hope you don't fly much. Something tells me you may encounter some difficulty

By all means, ignore the Gestapo part and get to the bottom of that breech delivery part!
No kidding.. Let's cut right to the chase!
(Now I finally understand why God said for women not to teach men.. Oh my.)

""I think these kinds of searches are a great idea. I mean, since I take no responsibility for my own actions, and I believe Daddy Government is always right and just wants to protect everyone, these things have to be done. After all, if he wasnt doing anything wrong, why would he object to being treated that way? It makes us all feel safer."
Thats what you REALLY meant, right? Worthless fscking statist piece of trash.
"
Uh, most people here say what they really mean. I doubt that they need you to rephrase their words, then insult them with a personal attack. But then, it's your right. I suggest saying something like that the next time you're in an airport screening. Hah!

So he sounds like he went off when she cried. Lesson for ladies,,try not to cry at security when your husband has a tendancy to go ballistic. He is a collosal whiner.
Well gee, I suppose he could have farted and asked for a beer.
As long as we are going to just make idiotic, blanket accusations (like: "he's a collosal whiner") maybe you are just the kind of person who enjoys having your breasts felt by strangers at the airport?
Sounds like you're not a collosal catch yourself, eh?

This guy sounds like a world class whiner to me. While I surely would have been upset about what happened, yelling at the cops is not something one ought to do and think he's gonna walk from it. Had he calculated his response to be one which would have exhibited his displeasure in a reasonable way, and then followed it up at a later date, he would have had no criminal record (arrest), attended the wedding, and perhaps the upset would have ended sooner and maybe, just maybe the baby would not have been "traumatized".
Trying to play Tarzan in front of Jane just got his butt busted.
As far as the cops go, a little situational law enforcement from a seasoned veteran Officer should have cleared this up. The young ones need more experienced Officers around them to make them just a little bit more human.

"You are incapable of seeing beyond your small worthless little lives. "
More gratuitous insults, I see. What is the point? Airport security has _always_ been a hassle. It's a little more annoying these days. Pretty soon it will settle itself out. Until then, I advise that you not fly. The rest of us will fly when we need to, and will accomodate the current screenings. There are more important things to worry about than airport screening.

It is enlightening to me that you cannot defend this guy without bashing women on the thread. This isn't personal hoffa.

The problem is, these aren't "Cops". Cops are, by and large, trained. These are former McDonalds workers with low self esteem, given a badge and unlimited power. (of their little feifdom) A real Cop would've handled that much differently.

I am not defending the guy, nor am I "bashing" anyone..
It's obvious that some people here can't play by their own rules.
If you are going to make broad generalizations like this, then don't be surprised..

He got arrested because he had a tantrum. Tantrums sound weird when you try to describe them... arms were flapped... hard breathing and shouting happened. His story glosses over his own part in it... Who knows how it actually looked. But temper tantrums are not smart in airports.
