I got to question 3 and quit.

Looked w-a-a-a-a-a-y too much like the talking points from the Iraqis and the other sand-maggots.

Nice try though.

Now do yourself a flavor and come up with some answers to these questions and see where it leads you.

No thank you.

Saddam can answer his own damned questions.

And post his own propaganda directly, for that matter.

True, but the only thing that I could find was that Stavka appears to be used as a place name as in "The Tsar at Stavka" or "The Tsar moved to Stavka". There is nothing to show in Google or DogPile that "Stavka" was used as a meaning for the Russian High Command prior to WWI. So, except for that short period before the Revolution, it would appear that the term wasn't used to designate the High Command before that, akin to using "The Pentagon" (a place name) to reference the US military High Command.

you seem to imply that we are not living in a republic

Both political parties are just different sides of the same coin. Much of the PR debate is a dog and pony show to keep people divided. Washington is run by the ruling class elite and one of their main jobs is to keep the serfs controlled. Washington will always answer to Wall Street before main street.

This is a very anti-capitalist statement. Just so you know...

It also makes me thing that you think there are Illuminatis that run the world and Elvis is still alive...

"It saddens me that whenever certain questions are asked there are some Freepers who immediate swarm to attack the person who put forward the question (the post)."

Well, there are as many resons for that type of behavior as there are leaves on a tree.

Mr. Misery (Mr. M.) always loves as much company (and attentoin) as he can get.

For Mr. M to humuliate (especially in a public forum) boosts his ego, makes him think he is "really, really, sumpin," and creates a "Look - see what I did to that worthless pieces of $#!%." feeling deep, deep down in Mr. M's gut.

Have pity for Mr. M (and his many relatives), be as kind to him (or her) as they will allow, and perhaps one day they may wake up and finally realize they were the one being an ID TEN DOT T with their overloaded mouth and bombastic, condescending attitude rather than the ones they strove so hard to smash.

"A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions." Proverbs 18:2

Piffle ... mush and bilgewater.

Start taking a serious look at who is being protected by the laws and/or the lack of inforcement. Are Ken Lay or Gary Winnick sweating out an indictment? It is all about money and power and paying the right people in Washington. Open your eyes.

Now I'm thoroughly convinced. I just noticed that you made an anti-capitalist statement and I made a little goof on you and you're convinced I'm trying to "discredit" you. I could care less to discredit you or any other conspiracy theorist. Wow. All I'm trying to say, Mulder, is that this is really not the place to bash the wealthy and the capitalists. If you really have these issues with fundamental American institutions, rethink where you surf.

With a few minor modifications, I can make a statement that is just as ridiculous as the one that you made above. Is there any way for you to disprove this one either?

World governments are run by the ruling class elite and one of their main jobs is to keep the serfs controlled. The Illuminati will always answer to Wall Street and the Jewish-Zionist Conspiracy and the Masons before Main Street.

If those wealthy are crooks who cook books, over state stock value and do other "white collar" crime, then they damn well deserve to be bashed. Just because they are "capitalists" doesn't make them any less criminal then the guy holding up your store, who's also a capitalist in his own mind.

My friend, you have seen this incident based on sworn testimony. Can you prove that it didn't happen? Perhaps on your way home, you will pass someone in the dark, and you will never know it, for they will be from outer space. Many scientists believe that another world is watching us this moment. We once laughed at the horseless carriage, the aeroplane, the telephone, the electric light, vitamins, radio, and even television! And now some of us laugh at outer space. God help us ... in the future.

Wow. The generalization that is destroying America being spouted on Free Republic. I never thought I'd see the day.

To bash all true Capitalists for the actions of the few corrupt is as absurd as bashing all blacks for the actions of Mugabe or all whites for the actions of the KKK. You need to understand that the American businessman, bank president, manufacturing executive, and CEO are the primary reasons for the success of this nation. The wealthy should not be despised because they are wealthy. I never even mentioned the corrupt wealthy. You assumed (which is indicative of your economic stance) that since I was talking about the wealthy, I was talking about corrupt individuals. This is the way of the liberal and of the socialist. Ask yourself why America outproduces everybody? Is it solely because of the laborer? No, socialist countries have them too. It is because of the industrialist/entrepeneur (sp?).

Believe it or not, I agree with most of your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions.

IMHO, name-calling or questioning anyone's integrity is never warranted.

If a question is to be discussed and/or debated, and a FReeper -- ANY FReeper -- cares enough to post their opinion, that opinion should be respected even if it's not agreed with.

For example, you write . . .And as to those who say there is no need to answer such questions because 'their elected representatives were elected to do so for them' all i have to say that is one big slippery slope.

I don't necessarily agree with that but you went on to explain your reasoning and I respect that. For me personally, however, I must have faith in our representative form of government. That is the only way I can maintain what little sanity I have left. I believe the time to research topics and "what ifs" and anything else . . . is BEFORE I put that little check mark beside whoever it is I'm voting for. If I've done my job properly as a citizen, I also know how the opponent of my choice is likely to vote.

Will mistakes be made by using my ACT of Faith method? Absolutely. But probably not any higher percentage-wise than for those who have checked out everything there is to check.

There are no certainties in life . . . in war . . . or in peace. All one can do is make the best decisions one can make, based on the facts as one knows them, then live with the consequences and learn from the mistakes so, hopefully, they won't be repeated.

I still say freedom is important enough where uncertainty can’t be a hindrance.

So . . . although we disagree . . . I must admit it comforts me a bit knowing there is some devout cynics out there. My way's probably not the best and only way. Your way's probably not the best and only way. And the way's of those moderates who're somewhere in the middle probably aren't the best and only way.

But that's the beauty of THE AMERICAN WAY!! Somehow, despite our differences, despite our heated disagreements, we usually come up with A way to make the world a better place.

So I think we should celebrate our differences . . . not trash those who disagree. It takes all three spokes of this FREEDOM WHEEL to make things work.

I personally think it is a mark of atrophied mental acumen when someone blindly uses vitriolic diatribe against a fellow Freeper

Take me off of your little list. I made no attack whatsoever on Stavka2 about the questions he posed.

  1. I was poking fun at his inability to proof read his posts or use a spelling checker.
  2. I made a suggestion that the questions he posed had been answered, by and large, and further suggested he open his eyes to see the answers.
  3. If that's an attack, then you both are a bit too touchy.
  4. Have a Merry Christmas and a nice day.

First of all, I'm not anti-cpaitalism. I'm all for it. I do think that the corruption and distortions of the system need to be cleaned up and eliminated. Everything is a conspiracy to you guys -- I never mentioned it. But just comes out of your political playbook. Label someone, call them names and try to discredit them to shut them up. I believe in the freedoms the country was founded upon including the freedom of speech. I want my government to work for the people and not special interests. If you believe in the dictates and propaganda fed to you by a single political party and are will to turn your freedoms over to a ruling class, maybe you are the one who should be surfing elsewhere. Get a grip on yourself.
