So sad. And the poor people suffer the most.

Never had that problem in Rhodesia!

I can't believe how some local NYC politicos fawned all over him when he was on a "shopping trip" here.

This is total insanity.
His people are starving, the only ones that can feed them are the White Farmers and he's shut them down and kicked them off their property.
He's not going to have much to rule over when he's done.

an advantage in living in a free and armed society is that in such a society, mrs. mugabe's announcement would have served the additional function of being her last words.

"...an advantage in living in a free and armed society is that in such a society, mrs. mugabe's announcement would have served the additional function of being her last words..." This remark, while laudible, betrays a certain lack of imagination.
Mrs. Muga-buga-boo's FINAL sounds shouldn't be words...
They should be the sounds that the mouse makes when the cat tires of playing with it.

Several hundred farmers, particularly in the provinces where Mr Mugabe's ruling Zanu-PF party is strong, have fled their homes and businesses, most of them for ever. Why don't they organize, take up arms and fight? If I am about to lose my home that has been in my family for generations to a bunch of thugs, they are going to pay a heavy price for it (and if they do manage to occupy it, it will be a burnt out shell with poisoned wells).
Since when does being civilized mean being a coward?

The farm, which is almost 2,500 acres, has only 400 arable acres, and has been idle for 18 months since Mr Mugabe's militia arrived and prevented the Matthews from growing any crops. However, the fact of militias preventing people from growing crops has nothing to do with the impending famine, which instead is solely being caused by drought, foreign governments, currency troubles, American interventionalism, and the phases of the moon. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Planned starvation is a time-honored tool of dictators everywhere, especially socialist murderers like Mugabe.
There is an astonishing parallel between the NY Times reporting on Zimbabwe today, and the cover up it did in the 1930's when Stalin and his thugs starved 7 million middle class farmers to death after "collectivizing" their private farmland.

Maybe they're liberal Democrats?
To: ibbryn
Yea, in return for giving up power they were promised peace. Since it did not work out quite that way, how do you say "Game On" with a Rhodesian accent?

Ah yes Rhodesia.
Rhodes "scholar" Dilldo and "wife" [witch] Skullery.
Stay tuned.
Coming soon to a country near you . . . wider implementation of the mentality of the globalist elite.

how do you say "Game On" with a Rhodesian accent. You say *Impliment Hectic,* followed by *Impliment Hatchet, * and *Impliment Havoc*. Oh wait, *Havoc* is already a go. Nevermind!

If all the white people in Zimbabwe and South Africa move to the USA and give birth to children here, will the children be "African Americans"?
