Chancellor Schroeder and the woman in question Doris Schroeder

I can not translate from German but the gist is that Schroeder is having an affair with this woman (pictured with him) and that his marraige is on the rocks.

Ok I looked at the pic on the cover. That could also be Schroeder's wife, but I google translated the article and it says his marriage is in trouble and they think he's having an affair (among other things in the article).

I don't recommend having affairs, but there are affairs and then there are affairs.

Bill Clinton's idea of an affair was like standing at a shooting galery and picking off anything that moved. There is the individual who may have an unhappy home life who develops a relationship that may last an extended period of time and involve a certain level of devotion and love.

I can't say that I approve of such things, but I do not believe all affairs stoop to the level of a known rapist and abuser of women.

Schroder's actions would have to be pretty bad indeed to come anywhere close to the evil Bill Clinton was involved in. I doubt he had someone sucking his lollipop while he was discussing military options on a long distance call to a government official.

He is on his fourth wife, so the man does have an appetite.

Schroeder is good for what Germany deserves. If he's having an affair - it just highlights his whole "lie, cheat, slander, do whatever it takes to get the booty" philosophy the scumbag was re-elected on.

Right. It says basically that his marriage is going before a court.

German translation is tricky because the syntax is not the same.

The translation would be:

Top line:

The Chancellor defends himself against ugly rumors.

Headline:

Schroeder marriage going to court.

This is the "Bild Zeitung"; sensational, large circulation, not afraid to air out the dirty laundry.

LOL, you really know how to hurt a guy...

To tell the truth Bill Clinton should thank his lucky stars for Hillary.  I doubt very seriously whether he'd have ever been governor or president without her.  I am certain that he remained president due to her efforts.  I doubt she wants much to do with him.  If the man had any class at all he'd devorce her and do his best to rehabilitie his life and honor.  That would involved developing a new relationship with someone he could be faithful to.  I'm not holding my breath.

The Clinton's are the worst possible examples of someone to emulate.  That's why it bothers me that either of them hold public office.  They should be sitting in some home on stilts near the a--hole of Arkansas, barefoot and mute.

The german chancellor must be overthrown. He is our misery. His socialist and ex-terrorist (mis-)administration and first signs of communist intentions will ruin us all.
I hope this scumbag of chancellor will not stand the four year period and will be stopped with a motion of no confidence.
I hope this for all of us germans that the self-destruction caused by his politics will be averted.

The picture of the woman is Doris Schroeder.

The accompanying "Bild Zeitung" article talks about Schroeder going to court to stop a newspaper from running articles that report marriage problems with the Schroeders The newspaper is the "Markische Oderzeitung", a local paper.

"Bild" also mentions Schroeder using the courts to stop newspapers from reporting that he was dying his hair. That occured last spring.

The gist of the newspaper articles Scroeder wants to stop now are that Schroeder and his wife have loud arguments, and that Schroeder does not sleep at home as often as would be expected.

The name of his wife´s not "Doris Schröder" but "Doris-Schröder-Köpf". Köpf is also a German word which means "separate the head!" Would be funny if Doris had chosen to call herself "Doris Köpf-Schröder" - all the people would desire: "Doris separate Schröder´s head!" ;-)

I wonder if she has had affairs with other women, considering the recent "poll" that showed 66% of German women have had "sexual relations" with other women.

"Chancellor resists bad rumors.

Schroeder - 'Marriage comes before [the] court.'"

(I was disappointed I was hoping it would be:

"For not to luff der Schroeder, it ist a big disgrace!")

Basically, they accuse him of an affair but no real evidence. He is taking them to court to stop the rumors. The court will order the Bild not to print such rumors, which basically means he might be having an affair, but they sure can't put that into the papers. The amusing thing is that the Germans got all hyper when most Americans were accusing Bill Clinton of an affair and said who cares? Here in Germany, they actually go to court to prevent such stories from being reported in the first place. Talk about freedoms...the last place you will get freedom of speech is Germany.
