Operation Infinite Freep in Fresno, California (1-3-03)

Tonight, eight FReeprs and patriots showed up to counter about twice that many peaceniks on Fresno, California's busiest corner. Those who were able to attend tonight were:

We played patriotic tunes, visited with each other, and held up our signs asking those driving by to honk to show support for the troops and President Bush.

It was rather chilly tonight for our neck of the woods; just below fifty degrees. We kept warm though, continually turning to face the oncoming traffic as the lights changed.

At exactly 6:30, the peaceniks put away their signs and started heading off towards their cars. Notpoliticallycorewrecked caught their attention by hollering good bye to them and we started waving our signs in their direction. Then they started waving theirs at us. I turned my "Honk to show your support for the troops and President Bush" sign around so that they could see the side that said "You can't fight terrorists with peace signs". That got them muttering! LOL!

A good time was had by all who attended tonight! We missed the regulars who weren't able to make it and hope to see you next week.

Yes! It was very chilly! When buses or large trucks go by, they cause a wind chill factor and it seems very cold.

I shouldn't complain though, it's so much colder in most of the rest of the country. Those Freepers who protest weekly in Colorado....wow, I admire their fortitude!
