although the Peep body was dissolved by phenol, the eyes were not. In fact, Peep eyes were insoluble in all the solutions which were tested.

Given enough time, the proper resources, and access to some really toxic stuff, one can probably dissolve just about anything except Peep eyes.

Every Easter, Food TV goes to the Peep Hatchery and causes another 250,000 citizens to get hooked on "cute" Blobs. Did you notice the 1,127, 682 hits on the site?

Wow! I've never seen all these other "Peep" variations! Perhaps they need to work on marketing them more.

I just chowed down two packs of Valentine Peeps this weekend. It, of course, was not enough. I buy the Easter peeps (usually the yellow bunnies and chicks) in bulk, of course (when there was a small local grocery store near my office, the manager's wife would sidle up to me in the weeks before Easter & say, "We're getting in Peeps next week--how many packs should I set aside for you?") I haven't seen the Star peeps, but I did get some Halloween peeps and Christmas peeps last year. In fact, when Christmas Peeps first came out, a friend in Pennsylvania mailed me four packs of them--the postage, of course, was about the cost of the Peeps. She did it because she knew I *needed* them for my addiction.
