(2003-01-19) -- Police across the nation estimate the crowd that avoided yesterday's anti-war demonstrations at about 289 million. Americans from coast-to-coast voted in absentia against criticizing the Bush administration for Iraq's failure to comply with U.N. resolutions.
Anti-anti-war demonstrators gathered in grocery stores, shopping malls and private homes to proclaim their disagreement with protestors marching in the streets of Washington D.C. and San Francisco.
"Going about my regular Saturday routine is my way of saying I disagree with the radical left-wing agenda of the anti-Bush crowd," said college student Melanie Sampson, who spent the day preparing a term paper for a literature course.
Police reported no unusual problems with the droves that stayed away from the protests.
"It was a normal Saturday in America," said one Sheriff's deputy.

Actually they are "slave" rallys...those who wish to become the slaves of terrorists and communists just cant seem to find it in them to fight back even for themselves let alone their own families...
And their cowardess...has to be validated as heroism...they cant stand the view in the mirror...so they all get together (rally) and tell each other and their countrymen...how brave they are to stand up for peace...
But would they travel to Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia , China , North Korea, Vietnam, etc etc...to rally for peace?....or defy them if they dissagreed with them....
Absolutely -Nope
The much prefer to "rally" and destroy others property here in the good ole US of A where
They are safe...their safety seucured for them by the blood of those the leech off of....
Make fun of ..critisize ..and protest against....
And if ever in power....discriminate against...with a cruel vengance....
Go figure these aholes out...cause I sure havent been able to ... since 1969

(Go Tampa Bay Bucs!!!!!!) Thank you for that sentiment. Truely, for the life of me, I cannot understand why I am so happy that the Bucs won. The mysterious power of tribalism, I guess, and the fact that we Bucs fans have lived for 27 years from the 26-0 Bucs of the first 2 years to heart breaks of more recent years. At a recent point the city of Tampa had to vote to tax themselves to build a new stadium or the owners were going elsewhere. A very good and decent man, Tony Dungee, was fired and humiliated last year because (in part) of the Bucs losing to the Eagles. I have had nothing to do with the Bucs success and yet I am happy - go figure!
