Yoo-hoo, over here, Mrs Clinton:

...Prescient of Bush -- very sad for the world. Would be a great addition to the tape archives. Yes, it was prescient of GHWB. He put an even finer point on it in some other campaign speech that year; if I can find it, I'll post it. In the meantime, you can find the audio clip HERE, if you want to add it to the archives.

Well lets hope the rest of the country is not as STUPID as New York. What is with New York / New Jersey area? Why are the majority there IDIOTS? Look at who they elect - Hillary the Carpetbagger, Torticelli, and then the should-have-been-illegal replacement for him Lautenberg. Then you got yur' Al Dimatto, the horrible Chuckie Shummer (excuse some of these spellings I suspect they are wrong, but it's late). Even Al Sharpton who is viewed as a legitimate "spokesperson" and not a creepy idiot with bad hair.
The sad thing is I don't think that New Yorkers are THAT much dumber than the rest of the USA. Therefore, it can happen here, Hillary can be President. It's a distinct possibility. And if not her do you really think Lurch (John Kerry) or the trial lawyer or Lieberman would be any better. For all we know they might be worse.
I move between the poles of working hard to defeat all of them and feeling like, screw it, lets let Hildabeast get it, better I can be here when the sh*t really hits the fan, which it certainly will in a Hillary administration.
Does anyone feel the center can still hold. I guess I don't.

After a tour of the "Virtual office," I seem to hear a dark voice in the background saying, "Let them eat cake."
Good morning Mia.

George Bush the Elder tried to warn the people about Clinton. From his closing comments from one of the 1992 presidential debates:
"...And, lastly, the other night on character Governor Clinton said it's not the character of the president but the character of the presidency. I couldn't disagree more. Horace Greeley said the only thing that endures is character. And I think it was Justice Black who talked about great nations, like great men, must keep their word.
And so the question is, who will safeguard this nation, who will safeguard our people and our children? I need your support, I ask for your support. And may God bless the United States of America."

Thanks so much for finding the GHWBush sound clip. I've added it to the SpyLies and Audiotape flashmovie. It provides the perfect parallel-universe-"if only we had listened" ending. G.H.W. Bush identified the danger of the clintons precisely. There is no doubt that not heeding his warning will go down in history as America's biggest blunder -- unless, of course, America is dysfunctional enough--or dumb enough--to submit to "sleaze, the sequel." Happily, this will not happen, in my view. 9-11 changed the calculus. We must remember that even the lowest forms of life have a survival instinct.

While I was at it, I added a relevant Bill Bennett clip to Turkey Day.

Yikes, it's Christmas all over with so much new "stuff" for a later read. Many thanks. Believe in Sean or Bob Grant radio promo yesterday, it was intimated that Hillary's poll numbers far exceeded Liberman's and continue to grow by leaps and bounds. Couldn't sit in the car until they covered it fully and can't find articles supporting this claim. Can you shed any light?

- THE CLINTONS--AMERICA'S BIGGEST BLUNDER
- Hear Bush 41 Warn Us--October 19, 1992*
hear *Thanx to Cloud William for text and audio
LEHRER: President Bush, your closing statement, sir. PRESIDENT BUSH: Three weeks from now--two weeks from tomorrow, America goes to the polls and you're going to have to decide who you want to lead this country ... On foreign affairs, some think it's irrelevant. I believe it's not. We're living in an interconnected world...And if a crisis comes up, ask who has the judgment and the experience and, yes, the character to make the right decision? And, lastly, the other night on character Governor Clinton said it's not the character of the president but the character of the presidency. I couldn't disagree more. Horace Greeley said the only thing that endures is character. And I think it was Justice Black who talked about great nations, like great men, must keep their word. And so the question is, who will safeguard this nation, who will safeguard our people and our children? I need your support, I ask for your support. And may God bless the United States of America.
