I thought this was a nice comment on the core of debating with the Left. My eyes have been opened by debating with the few leftists on this site--they build straw men and never focus on the issue. Then they sneer and run off, claiming victory.

I thought this was written well, and accurately describes why Liberals are so wishy washy on everything (including war--John Kerry votes for war, now is against his own vote).

A good article. We all have the right to question each others veiws, but I don't know anyone on the left that wants to hear an answer.

The essence of this argument is this:

Left-wing ideas are formed behind a wall of protection, in a 'temperature-controlled' environment like hothouse flowers. They can't stand rigorous testing. As more and more of society is subjected to rigorous debate via the emergent conservative media, leftism will disappear.

Left-wing politics is dead. The real (coming) battle is between conservatives and libertarians over moral issues.

I was once confronted with a situation with a liberal at work. There was a discussion about fathers day and he said "Leave it up to a democrat president to honor our fathers". I let it pass. I will set my trap in due time.

I later ask him regarding our dept budget problem, "Shouldnt we all just give a little money from our paycheck so we can afford new computers? I mean, they wont mind since its for new computers, right?"

He says "Are you kidding me? Thats my cash, im not going to let the company have it for something I cant use!"

I set the bait perfectly. He doesnt see my blindside coming but it is. Oh yes. It will feel like an NFL linebacker crushing the field goal kicker. It will be like my foot upon an ant. The crushing blow of a bowling ball upon a donut..........I say, "Your democracts do that very thing to me every paycheck, yet you have no problems??"

So he says, in natural liberal reaction, "Well, if republicans held office, everyone would be shooting each other!" I shook my head at him in a disappointed manor. Only I am 25 and he is 50.

Liberal = lack of intellectual maturity, childlike, emotional.

Conservative = deep intellectual base, mature, thinking.

In the recent era, one can note that the left calls names ("hymeytown", "house slave" just two examples).

The shrill screaming method of Carville plays to emotion; 'this guy is sure upset, so he must be right.' It is acting, and poor acting at that.

Dennis Prager is one of the more insightful thinkers of our time. He expresses ideas very well.

The saddest part of all this is that even though the left is bankrupt, even though it has no real ideas, it will continue to be a potent force politically.

The conclusion I have come to is that huge numbers of people do not vote based on an analysis of the ideas presented to them in a campaign. They do not even vote their own self-interest. They vote their resentments, their envy, their desire to "get someone."

This element in human nature is ineradicable. And so there will always be a left to appeal to it.

More proof that the leftist media is slowly, but surely losing it's absolute control over what is and what is not news. We are living an historic period in American political history because by the month, the rat media is losing it's influence and consequently, it's ability to serve as the rats' lie machine. Look at how many rat politicians wind up looking like deer in the headlights when, oh so unexpectedly, they are hit with a hard question. Think about how maudlin half-bright made a fool of herself waiting for Russert to let up on her yesterday. There are lots more examples but; you get my drift. When the grip is broken, the rats are finished.

I've seen my fair share of this even amongst people here on FR who call themselves "convervatives". I don't think it is a problem that is exclusive to only "leftists" or "liberals.
