How about this take on the comment:

She used the term "black man" because, knowing that B-1 Bob is a conservative, she assumed that he was a racist. She was trying to play on his assumed prejudice against Blacks, thus demonstrating the ideological bigotry that is prevalent amongst the Dims.

This one will go nowhere because:

B-1 Bob is persona non grata in the media
Pelosi is the media Fema-idol of the moment
Pelosi is a Democrat
Democrats hated Trent Lott and wanted him out of power
