Where is the part about rotating your ammo stores and cleaning your "personal protection devices"?????

Sorry, here in Utah we don't clean our "personal protection devices".  We just go to the drug store and buy more.

Okay. Get your other supplies now.

Good advice. On the morning of 9/11 I had no food in the house and next to no money. Going to the grocery store that afternoon was an experience I don't want to repeat.

So I just spent about $60 on non-perishable stuff for me and cat food for the cats. And bottledwater. I should be good for a few days if worst comes to worst.

But now I can't locate my duct tape. Sheesh.

No, but having fired a few Stingers in my day in the old US Army, I'd love to see a Cessna spreading those spores hit by one of those bad boys.

That is the "suicide bomber" variant. If he has 10 pounds of spores in the Cessna, the last thing you want to do is help him spread it more widely with a Stinger missile.

That was definitely more information than we needed down here in the Keys...

If you can't find plastic sheeting in the stores, try using jumbo plastic trash bags.

They're short range missiles. They can fire if someone has gotten through the no fly zone. I think that zone has gotten larger, but I forget how big. Something like 8 miles, maybe?

I remember that after staring at the TV for a couple of hours on 9/11, I went to the grocery store. I figured I couldn't stop whatever horrible attack was taking place, but I'd better have extra food in any case. In our community, the stores were totally quiet. The only people there were the checkout workers and me with my full shopping cart. It was surreal.

Thanks!

Of course, I also forgot to mention the launch motor that actually ejects the missle out of the tube (hence the term "launch motor" some contractor probably charged big $$ for coming up with that)...anyway, the lauch motor burns out and a big ol' hunk of metal falls to the ground...hopefully not on anyone's head.

If I lived in DC, I'd take the next 3 weeks off work and head way up into West Virginia toward Ohio, just in case.

FYI, living down in the Keys of Florida, we are always ready to be "without" for up to a week just in case the "big one" hits. Assume the worst my friend. We assume that if we get a big hurricane, re-supply will not occur for at least 2 weeks. That's the safest assuption if the proverbial SHTF. But never, ever forget to make sure your liqour and battery stores are up to snuff. In West Germany during drills once you were tagged "dead" it was always good to have some Scotch and CD's with you in the field. I always assume the same on the home front...

So I guess if everyone seals themselves in their homes and never ventures out, we'll be OK? The greatest nation on earth cowering because we've let the enemy walk right into our country and set up residence.

I know humor helps at a time like this, but the closer we get to getting Saddam, the more scared I am. In fact, after reading about a possible attack here as early as the end of this week, I have to admit, I'm totally petrified! I feel pretty safe here in PA, but my kids and grandkids all are down in MD, two of them only about 20 minutes from DC... and I'm worried sick about them! Someone PLEASE say something to calm my nerves??!!

Oh, the stores in my neighborhood looked like they'd been looted. There wasn't a hell of a lot left on the shelves.

Strangest thing was that the ice cream was GONE. All of it. Every brand, every flavor. Ice cream was the last thing on my mind at the time. I was looking for things that wouldn't go bad if the power ran out.
