Considering Sept 11, the "missile theory" takes on a new meaning.

It would, if there was accountability.
But no heads roll. Ever.
No accountability.

It seems that a lot of good folk that said they thought it was a missile might have been right.
Kind of like all the Okies in O.K.C. that were incorrect about what they saw, according to the Feds.Yeah,right.

Considering Sept 11, the "missile theory" takes on a new meaning. Indeed it does. If memory serves, Bodansky's biography of bin Laden provides evidence that bin Laden and the Islamists tried to take credit for TWA 800. Something published in a London Arabic-language newspaper, as I recall.

The words "radar" and "eyewitness" would all but disappear from the Times' reporting after that. It's amazing how the story changed. At several events during the 90s, it was easier to get an idea of what happened from the first reports coming from the sites than some time later, after the spin machine sprang into action.
Not a good sign in a "democracy".
To: Diogenesis
you are correct, accountability is a nonissue in DC

I also remember reading, a couple of days after the TWA 800 crash, in the Corriere della Sera that an El Al flight had been scheduled to take off at the time TWA 800 in fact took off, because of flight delays.

Add Ruby Ridge to that list.

Considering Sept 11, the "missile theory" takes on a new meaning.Considering the year and the Enabler-in -Chief, it didn't really matter. Nothing would have been done about it.

Maybe we shouldn't start a list, this could turn into a looong thread.
To: lonestar
Actually, Ottowa county Michigan is staunchly conservative, mildly better.

Liberal Denials result in Peace; War on Terrorism only a Reality when Republicans in White House - just wonder if a Gore White House would have admitted the Twin Towers were gone.... What would a continuation of the Same Administration (Clinton-Gore) have spun; peace via the "SUNSHINE POLICIES" is the only option a democrat/liberal can understand. Liberals fail to understand that some people are not rational or irrational in the way they might understand; somethimes liberals don't understnad that their thought process is a direct result of being brought up in Judo-Christian country and theirin lies the fault of their miscalculations.

[W]e will improve airport and air travel security. I have asked the vice president to establish a commission and report back to me on ways to do this. But now we will install the most sophisticated bomb detection equipment in all our major airports. We will search every airplane flying to or from America from another nation every flight, every cargo hold, every cabin, every time. Bill Clinton has to be the most accomplished liar this nation has ever produced.

Bill Clinton has to be the most accomplished liar this nation has ever produced. Doesn't all this beg the question as to why George W. Bush has not followed up on this?
