I just turned and looked out my office window and saw a column of black smoke rising towards Union Beach/Perth Amboy NJ.
I then felt the force of an explosion rattle my window.

Just heard on WABC radio. Some unconfirmed reports a barge exploded next to refinery on Staten island.

WABC, NYC Mayor Blumberg, saying it may have been a fuel barge that was refueling. WABC reporter reporting explosion at or very near to PORT MOBIL refinery on Staten Island, NY. This has not been verified yet. New information coming in.

One's got to wonder what in the hell is up with all these fires & terrible things happening here in the states, i'm not a tinfoil hat freak but it makes you think. We are just a really big country that reports any tragedy as national news.
