Clooney in anti-war protest
Clooney says the US Government should talk, not act
Actor George Clooney has spoken out against a possible US invasion of Iraq, accusing President George W Bush of running the US Government "like the Sopranos".
Speaking on the PBS television network, Clooney said Mr Bush and his cabinet were behaving like Big Tony and his mobster family in the TV show.
Clooney accused the President of cutting a deal with France and Russia to ensure the UN Security Council will not complain when "we go into a war and kill a lot of innocent people".
"Are we going to try and talk to Saddam Hussein...without jumping in and killing people first?" he said.

Listen I'm not sure this will reach George Clooney, but I will write it anyway. I and tens of thousands of others went to war to give Mr. Clooney his right to speak out about anything he wishes, but I must say that I believe he should know that he is not the only one with the right to speak.
I believe his position is now well known, he should be aware that I and so many others are writing to our friends and spreading the word that these Hollywood jerks have finally ignited a backlash, not just with words but with an unwavering boycott against any and everything that they are connected to..
Just thought he should understand there are consequences. I never thought I would ever participate in anything like this, but I and my large family and friend network have reached our limit, and sitting quiet is no longer an option.

Well said. And, btw, turning the channel DOES work. Not going to a movie DOES WORK.
RATINGS are a BIG thing in Hollywierd. If people don't believe us.. they should watch the decline in ratings for the "West Wing". Ratings means advertising bucks.
Another effective means of protesting, is to call the advertisers of shows like the West Wing, and say you will not buy their products if they continue to advertise on the West Wing.
We saw this work in removing the host of "Politically Incorrect".
Don't let anyone say it doesn't work.. it does!!
We used to watch "Providence".. but not anymore. In fact, is it even on anymore?? I bet its ratings hit all time lows since Mike Farrell has exposed his hatred of America too.
Good job..keep it up!!

It is pretty stunning to me to see the actual
desperation with which so many are opposing the war.
IMO, it is not the war they fear, since they were silent when the Clinton's, with far less justification, waged war.
I believe that what they fear is that the war could be successful, thus inflicting a tremendous setback to their beloved leftist agendas.
I for one, do not know whether or not our military people can produce a quick and decisive victory, but I hope and pray that they can, and that what the Left fears will come to be.

What a hypocrite! When a film critic called his film Solaris "boring" at a press conference, Clooney replied to the man:
"You make a lot of films, do you?" Clooney asked rhetorically. "You make a lot of films yourself? Yeah, I'd like to see you make a film first before you get to talk about it. What a jerk!"

I oppose holliweird because they are controlled by space aliens. This protest of the protestors is better founded than their protest of my Counrty, its Leaders, and its Soldiers. George Clowney needs to stick to acting which a few dems may still watch. He did play a soldier once so he knows all about war.

The best way to attack these folk isn't to accuse them of treason or a lack of patriotism. It's to point out the sheer stupidity of what they say.
"Are we going to try and talk to Saddam Hussein...without jumping in and killing people first?"
These yo-yo's are our best allies, because no reasonably crafty lefty would make such an idiotic statement. The idea that we haven't tried to talk to Saddam for the last 12 years is untenable. It makes Clooney sound like the naive nitwit he is. The best way to dismiss such a guy -- and tick him off at the same time -- is simply to laugh at him. It's all he deserves for that juvenile level of awareness.
