Support our troops

Sorry for the Vanity, but I have sent this note to as many ships that I know of that are the Gulf. If anyone would like to do the same, it will be greatly appreciated. I will do likewise with the other branches of the Armed Forces, when I can find their addresses.

Please pass this along to as many sailors as you can.

My name is ------. I am from ---------. I served in the Air Navy (Reserves) in the early 1970's, during the Vietnam war. I know from personal experience how disheartening it is when you feel that the folks back home don't support you or your efforts. I write this letter to let you know that the vast majority of Americans do support you and your efforts. It is hard to see that from a ship, because most of the News you see or read appear negative. That is because of the personal views of each of these TV Channels or newsprints are biased against action by anyone, and have their own agenda. Rest assured, if we go to war, this action will be compared to Vietnam. Whether you agree or disagree about Vietnam, this is no Vietnam. If we have conflict, it will be justified and moral. If you hear any negative comments, please keep a stiff resolve, and accomplish your mission with the knowledge that the vast majority of Americans are with you. We will pray for your safety and success on a daily basis. Thank you for defending America, myself and my family.

Sincerely,

YES! That is my sign LOL, but that is sure not my yard! My yard has 2 feet of snow and more falling as I type. My sign is secured in a crusty old Granite State snowbank hee hee. It still looks beautiful though :)
I am so glad to see you have a sign too. Thankyou for the picture! Freepers are the best!

I'm here in Mass. with you, eastern Mass. where the snowfall and flash ice has all the highways around me closed. Routes 3, 24, and 495 have closures due to hundreds of fender benders and rollovers. I'm in a good mood, however, because all my family and loved ones are home safe.

That photo is linked to the site you provided so that we all can buy those yard signs for $19.95.

Howdy Sciencediet and fellow Freepers. My yard sign was $12.95 plus shipping and still looks BEAUTIFUL out there in the snowbank, LOL!
Poor you Sciencediet being in Ted Kennedy's homestate. We saw his sorry ass in Tortola, BVI 2 years ago and he almost SANK his dinghy--seriously. Also he was drinking--oh, what's new?

Do you listen to 96.9FM Talk from Boston? I love Jay Severin (most of the time) and O'Reilly & Laura Ingraham.
Take Care and buy those yard signs ;)
