The backlash against the Blixie Chicks is widespread. This guy was looking for an excuse so stations would continue to play their music. In effect, his spin is "Real Blixie Chick fans want you to play their music. These complaints come from a very small group of war monger conservatives trying to cause trouble for the beloved Chicks."
The problem is, it won't work. BTW - At least they got the URL correct...heheh.

Any manager worth their salt would tell their "performers" to keep their stinking traps shut. Most performers are not smart enough to figure this out, the manager should be fired. Your absolutely right. I wish all the entertainers would keep their opinions to themselves. They are just dissing 50% of their fan base.
When BaBa Streisand went political for Klintoon, I burnt her CD's that I had, and I can't stand her to this day.
There are so many entertainers that I used to love, until they turned on our President. Now I won't have anything to do with them. I am keeping a list. They need to keep entertaining or run for office. They can't do both.

You know what to do. If you don't know what to do, see page 47 of the VRWC handbook." ALpha Alpha. Bravo. Hair rinses better in soft water. 8-Niner, 8-Niner!

The code word has been changed anyway, as has the color of the day and the confirmation sign.
The handshake remains the same. You owe me a keyboard...

I guess the "MOVINGON.ORG" site just does not have as many readers.
Natalie of the Chicks... keep quacking, the more blame and more you and your dad, PR agents speak against those who condemn you... the more doomed you will be.

I heard an interesting comment yesterday from Bill Bennett. He described the peacenik spectrum as ranging from EXTREME LEFT WING to LEFT WING.
Their political spectrum is void of an occupancy from MIDDLE to RIGHT WING!

How big are we? If it hadn't been for FreeRepublic forcing the counting process in Florida into public view, Gore would have walked away with a "win" - and the world would have looked very different.
That's how big.

You are so right on. This is a revolution, and if the world is around long enough the effect of instant communication thru the web will be studied in history classes ( okay, maybe classes online)
But you articulated the matter perfectly. Via web and cable TV, we have found out we are not alone, and in fact, are more than a force to be reckoned with. This has encouraged us to act, knowing our attempts are not futile.

"Your company is being targeted by a radical right-wing online forum," Renshaw complained in an e-mail distributed to radio stations by the Dixie Chicks' label, Sony Music. "You are being 'Freeped,' which is the code word for an organized e-mail/telephone effort attempting to solicit a desired response," he explained. Yea thats us ok! Radical Americans..
What ever happend to the belief there was no such thing as BAD publicity? "I don't care what you say ..just spell my name right"
I want to know which one of you stuffed those words in the chicks mouth and made her say she is ashamed of her president..
Fess up now

"I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth." Lou Gehrig You forgot the Yankee Stadium Echo on that one:
"I consider myself (self) (self) the luckiest man (man) (man) on the face of the earth (earth) (earth)..."
I am so ready for opening day...

It's kind of neat that we've got all this power. Maybe we need to harness it in other ways as well.
How about a deal that says you show you VRWC Freeper membership card and you get discounts -- kind of like an AARP for the living.
15% off on all firearms and ammunition.
All cheese -- 20% off.
All SUVs at dealer cost.
10% off on all barbeque grills; an additional 5% on the really high capacity grills.

Let them fear the power of the FReep. May the mere mention of the word "FReeper" cause them to loosen their bowls and quake in their Berkinstocks. We are the majority of America and we are silent, no more!
