It looks credible to me. I think we'll have confirmation soon.

"To be honest, Pat Robertson has zero credibility with me"
Why?
To: Petronski
I'd think the only inside military information Diamond Pat is privy to is Liberian militia deployments.

It was on Free Republic last year after Sept 11 that if we attacked Iraq that the commies had a plan in place to blind side us with N. Korea and Iran. Sponsored by Russia and China. can't find the story in archives. We need to be ready for some heavy response or get off the field IMHO.

If it's true, the world will know soon enough. If not, we'll know that even sooner.

Chemical weapons shells don't come pre-made with agent in them.
You get the empty shells, and they're filled JUST prior to use.

The reporter is Paul Strand, not Pat Robertson. Paul Strand has been a reporter for 15 years; I'd be interested in reading of one report that he's made that has been false, just to get a sense of his track record....

If we relocate the UN to Paris, Berlin and Moscow, then we can open them and test them after we chain lock the doors to keep the rats there.
NYC has had 9/11. They don't need CBC!

IF this is true, one hell of a shoe just dropped.
To: finnman69
Yes it is. Note that the contents of the warheads have not been confirmed.

I have surmised for a couple of days now that the fast push to Baghdad was really about getting into position to take advantage of the approaching storm.

To be honest, Pat Robertson has zero credibility with me. But the correspondent is embedded with the 3rd ID, so maybe....
They've had news people around the world for as long as I can remember. They're always on satalite.
As a Christian network, the last thing they want to get caught doing is telling a fib!
I'll give them the benifit of the doubt.

Careful about your sources. It would be surprising if the U.S. permitted any mention to be made of finding WMD's in Iraq prior to Hussein using them, since doing so would leave Iraq with no "downside" to using them.
As in, he might as well use whatever WMDs he has if we've found hard evidence that he really has them.
Thus, these things will probably only come out AFTER the war is over...

The Russians are certainly capable of mixing up much more potent stuff than mustard gas--like VX, or, I hear, the even more deadly Novichok. You just sent a chill down my spine. If the Iraqis have any of that secret Russian stuff, it would explain why Saddam seemed so sure of himself...

Chemical weapons warheads have slots in them that WMDs are inserted in (via a tube of ageant).

There's no grand centrally-controlled world conspiracy run by either China or Russia moving everyone that is evil around like chessboard pieces. It's a FR fantasy.
People believed this in the 60s, at the very same time Russia and China were involved in large-scale land combat against each other over a border dispute. People like the idea because it neatly simplifies the world, and people like simplicity.
There are plenty of nasty, evil people out there. At times they cooperate when they have common interests. Russia and China both sell a lot of weapons because they need the money, primarily.
But if you believe the "giant world conspiracy" thing you miss opportunities to divide and conquer enemies.

You mean Faux Skews?
I don't know what to believe anymore.
How many times are they going to tell us "Saddam has lost countrol of his country" (today I heard Saddam has lost control of Southern Iraq)
