Maybe someone should send them that article out yesterday about how warm it was in the Middle Ages.

The GOP has its own greens, and one of them is a Senate staffer who is said to be promoting Kyoto in all but name by fashioning this legislation. This Senate aide may soon turn up at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as a staffer for the Council on Environmental Quality, advising President Bush on climate issues. But there is every reason to hope that the Senate Energy bill containing his handiwork never reaches President Bush's desk.

Just who is this "Senate staffer"? Anyone have an identity?

CA....

Another of those...I told you so...moments. (I'm not going to go looking for the specific reply)
They'll legislate it in, one way or another, sooner or later. If it is stopped this time (always questionable nowadays) everyone better not forget about it or it'll slip by later with no notice at all.
Kyoto will be implemented, by hook or by crook, or even stealth of night...it has been "a done deal" for some time now and the only thing yet to do is hand out the pens while the ink dries.

One thing conservatives need to realize is that having the Republicans control the White House and the Congress does not mean the world has been made safe from liberalism.
You said..."Understatement of the year."
There are still plenty of liberal opportunists, even some working within the GOP, searching for opportunities to turn their ideas into official policy.
I say "Big Brass Cahones" award!
The dirt under the rug, as it were.

It wouldn't be someone on Sen. Domeneci's staff by any chance would it?
