Lining up for loading. Assisted by numerous ground guides, tank drivers position their Abrams main battle tanks in line to be loaded onto a train for transport to the CENTCOM area of operations. 1st Armored Division will have 3,000 of its vehicles and aircraft moving to ports this week.

Spc. Brud Cronkrite of 1st Armored Division ground guides a M1A2 Abrams tank as it is loaded onto a train for transport. The Division is heading to the Gulf this week.  Iron Soldiers are bringing a wide range of capabilities to the U.S. CENTCOM and V Corps commanders. 

1st Armored Division is deploying from multiple locations throughout Germany. Soldiers have worked around the clock for the last several weeks to ensure their equipment is mission ready. The movement began in early April and will continue through early May.
