Here in NC as well...our beautiful mountains are starting to look like a poor mexican town with all the run down homes and shops they set up.

Looks like our Goverment is gonna wait till we can't take it any more and do something ourselfs!

Hey Mr President......My children are American!! we don't want to live in Mexico and speak Spanish......Peotect us and enforce our laws or we'll keep electing till we get someone who will!! Show a little muscle here on our own shores!

You know, I've never understood this either. Lived in the mountains for close to a decade and remember all the Mexicans up there and saw more than a few that couldn't speak a lick of English. I always figured it was worse down here in the flatlands, but after three years, I can honestly say I've seen more in the mountains than I've seen here in Raleigh. I know the numbers bear out the opposite, but I just don't see that many immigrant workers in the same places I used to see them up in Asheville

W is suffering from "Rainmakeritis" on the latino invasion.

I'm not convinced.

Now if they would only limit it to Colombian and Venezuelan Miss Universe contestants then I'd say: "Open Door All The Way!"....be a nice bump to our gene pool.

Not just in the western counties of NC. Johnson and Harnett Counties appear to be largely Mexican enclaves and the Raleigh area has a huge hispanic substratum.

There was a trailor park in my town we use to call Little Mexico. They had their own hair "salon" (someone's back porch where there was always a haircut taking place) and their own farm animals running around. Chickens and goats all over. They almost all worked at the local chicken plant and there was about 1 car for every 7-8 people to ride to work together. I had been there before with a church group to pick up some of the kids to bring them to church and everything was *filthy*. Kids ran loose with no supervision. Finally someone new bought the land and evicted everyone. The local liberals had fits for months over it too. Most of the people were months behind on their rent so the new owners had every right to evict them but the local liberal student did everything they could to stop them from being evicted. It was so rediculous. The new owner won the battle though and now there are only a couple trailors left on it and it doesn't look like a health hazard anymore. And NO more goats running into the road.
